I was super excited to be asked to be part of the Friends of Sylvsnian Families group recently, as a child I remember Sylvanian Families and being totally jealous of my friends having the cute little play sets. I used to really look forward to playdates so we could play with them together.
The girls haven’t been introduced to Sylvania families first hand yet, they’ve seen adverts and asked about it but I was so excited to give them there first play set, we received Brick Oven Bakery.
Brick oven bakery is as you have probably guessed the bakery, the play set comes with hedgehog mother Eleanor Bramble and has over 50 pieces with it.
There is no assembly required for the shop all I needed to do was pop put the bakery items and add a few stickers which is a nice change from fiddly set that need a 20 page instruction manual just to get it together.
The attention to detail is fantastic I love they have included all sorts of different pastries and cakes it allows the girls minds to run wild as they pretend to bake with mother hedgehog and get the shop set up for the customers.
It’s lovely to see them share and play together and create different scenarios for the characters.
My only advice would be to keep it all together, lots of little bits are easily lost I have had a couple of trips under the sofa fishing out little plastic pastries already. Maybe having a little pot to keep al the small bits in when they aren’t playing with it would be a good shout.
An early morning bake off!
The girls are really excited to build up our Sylvanian Families collection and have been eye balling which set they would like for christmas (yes the dreaded C word already I am sorry but it’s coming).
Maisy really likes the look of the Boutique, which of corse she would it’s pretty and pink, while Bella is after the Doctors clinic which I think looks really fun too!
Do you have any Sylvanian Familes play sets? I’d love to hear your recommendations.
I love that these are back in ‘style’ again – I remember them from when I was younger x

Oh I adore Sylvanians. My mum has all of mine stored up in her loft ready for this Christmas when I think the girls will be ready to take care of them. So glad they are still around as I loved them as a child! x

Aw what a cute little hedgehog! I wonder if my baby girl will be into Sylvanian Families when she is older. Who knows?! xx
My daughter is turning 6 tomorrow and has still not shown any interest in the Sylvanian Family. I always wanted a set as a child but never got one!
