Start Rite School Shoes |REVIEW|

School shoes are the most important part of a child’s school uniform. They are worn day in, day out and in all conditions so it’s only right that we want to find the perfect pair for our children. Recently I was asked if I would like to review a pair of Start Rite school shoes. It was perfect timing as Maisy had just started to say her shoes were getting a little squishy. Yes – that is just one term in to the school year! These children need to slow down growing. Maisy and I went on the website and…

Parenthood – why the competition?

I am usually one to read and then not reply to the ongoing breast VS bottle debate. Recently you’ll have seen your social media feeds filled with the tree of life images it made me want to  jump down from my fence and write this post. The tree of life images essentially show breast feeding muma’s doing their thing in an arty way – they look cool, they do I like them and this isn’t directed at those images personally, it is just seeing them that sparked my need to write. I am all for breast feeding out and proud. Never…

Kidzinmind App – Review

Nowadays most of our children are becoming more and more tech savvy, my 2 year old knows her way around a tablet better than her grandparents. Quick as a flash they have it up and running and are watching there favourite youtuber’s unbox eggs – yes that is a real thing and if your child hasn’t found it yet your days are numbered. Now I love the internet; the internet has given me a career, a career I didn’t even know could be possible a few years ago and I am so happy with where I am and what it…

A knot in my stomach I just can’t shift

It felt like a matter of days ago I was writing our A-Z of summer fun and gearing up for the holidays now I am sat here with back to school looming and a knot in my stomach about it. Last year Maisy started school and I was cool as a cucumber, she had been in the nursery at the school in the year previously so I was used to taking her in everyday, she had her friends already, knew her teacher and the routine of the day at school. Bella doesn’t, I kept her at another nursery which is completely…

Friends of Sylvanian families

I was super excited to be asked to be part of the Friends of Sylvsnian Families group recently, as a child I remember Sylvanian Families and being totally jealous of my friends having the cute little play sets. I used to really look forward to playdates so we could play with them together. The girls haven’t been introduced to Sylvania families first hand yet, they’ve seen adverts and asked about it but I was so excited to give them there first play set, we received Brick Oven Bakery. Brick oven bakery is as you have probably guessed the bakery, the play…

Being a single parent..

I am a single parent to my three beautiful daughters.  It’s not something I bang on about, I have never been one to over share – ironic being as I am a blogger who shares a lot of her life with the internet but I choose what I put out there, I have control of what I write. I have been asked recently by a few people ‘why don’t you write about your experience’s as a single parent?’ It has made me think why don’t I? Is it the fear of being judged thats holding me back? This is me; I am…

As a family we all love to read. I love reading myself although a lot of is seems to be online now reading an actual book is like a big treat! The girls love me reading to them at bedtimes or any times when they like to whined down a little. As Maisy and Bella are getting older more and more they are the ones who like to do the reading, Maisy’s getting really good at reading now and Bella is picking up letters and words from her big sister. I love seeing them sounding out words together, I kind…
