As a mum do you ever feel a little bit like a jack of all trades, master of none?
The day we become a parent is life changing we have our little bundle of joy in our arms to coo over just needing all the love and milk, never forget the milk. As they grow and get older you start to see their needs also grow. We take on new roles we are mum first and foremost but other duties come along with that we become teacher, cleaner, taxi, cook and the list goes on, our needs get pushed back and the needs of those little ones come first.
Sun life have created a fun little quiz to tell us just what our ‘mum salary’ should be for all theose jobs that come along with having children. One thing that shocked me as I went through the quiz myself was how do I actually fit all this in, that old saying there aren’t enough hours in the day has never felt more true.
What with working and keeping the girls entertained there isn’t all that much time left over to play chef and washer women but yet we do just get it all done and it proves what I suspected all along us mums really are superhero’s!
According to the quiz my mum salary was a whopping 40k! Yes please..
Of corse I don’t get a bean for my mumma duties but I do get paid in countless kisses, cuddles and the occasional breakfast in bed from my little ladies which makes is worth so much more.
So what about you? How many more duties have you taken on since becoming a mum. You can find out what your ‘mum salary’ is by taking the quiz for yourself at https://www.sunlife.co.uk/life-cover/life-insurance/mum-salary/ don’t forget to share your results in the comments!

This is such a fun idea!!! I’m definitely not paid enough in coins, but I certainly am in love. You don’t notice how much you do until you start to hang around with non-parents (especially when they complain they’re tired!) x

I love that saying ‘jack of all trades, master of none’ my grandad used to say it all the time. I’m soo intrested to find out what my salary would be now, going to go find out! Great post! x
I wish more countries would follow Germany’s example and consider the years we spend at home with the kids as work experience! That would do lift our salaries once we return to the work force, wouldn’t it?xx
