Week Day Walks

Thursday is always a Mummy and Lottie day in our household; with the girls both busy at school I try to make sure we get outside and do something fun together. It’s becoming so real that next year Lottie will be getting ready to start school and I will be spending all my week days alone! Productivity will be seriously high without my little distractions but I will miss these days so much. We took ourselves for an early morning last week, I took a bunch of photos and I just really wanted to post them. My cheeky little girl…

Celebrating Chinese New Year in Dorset

The holidays may be winding down at your house, but why not have one more bash? Celebrating the Chinese New Year is a great way to brighten up the dreary mid-winter months and an excellent opportunity to introduce the kids to a little culture. The festivities are always a blast, as they’re filled with colourful animal and dragon costumes, delicious food and intriguing music. Take the whole family out to one of Dorset’s many pubs or community centres that are celebrating the year of the rooster, or stay in and enjoy some ethnic crafts and Chinese munchies in the comfort…

National Trust Adventures – Corfe Castle

This weekend we pulled on our welly boots and headed over to Corfe Castle for our next National Trust adventure we needed to burn off some of that never ending energy my girls seem to have and Corfe Castle won their vote. From the car park there is a 10 minute walk to get up the the castle itself it’s a nice little…

Longleat Festival Of Lights

The girls and I headed off to visit Longleat last week to experience the Festival of Lights for the first time! I had heard such great things about the event which runs throughout December we couldn’t wait to get down there. We’ve been to Longleat once before, it was when they were in the process of setting it all up since seeing that I have always been intrigued to go back and see it finished. I knew it was going to be pretty busy as tickets were sold out for the day, it was advised to leave extra time for…

Oxygen FreeJumping – Southampton

A couple of weeks ago the girls and I headed down to Oxygen FreeJumping in Southampton, after seeing so many snaps of people in these amazing indoor trampolining venues we just had to go down to our closest one and check it out. After we put on our special jumping socks and watched a quick demo video about safety we headed out into the park and got our bounce on. We went to the under 5’s sessions that they have each week days 10-12am and weekends 10-11am, it’s great that they have different sessions for different ages it means the little…
