Hi my names Amy and I am a compulsive list maker.
I have lists on the fridge, I have lists on my phone, I have notebooks just for lists and today I am writing a list for our summer, thought I would make it a little more interesting and share our plans as an A-Z!
A is for Arts & Crafts – we love a good craft or some messy play I am dusting off the tuff spot and we are getting busy this summer, you guessed it I have a list of crafts and activities ready to go!
B is for Bike Rides – I am desperate to get Maisy confident on her bike this summer and Lottie confident on her balance bike.
C is for Camp Bestival – Did I mention I am going to Camp Bestival this year, maybe a little but I am so freaking excited. Camp Bestival is a family focused festival in Dorset on the 28th-31st July. It is the perfect festival for kids with so many amazing acts and activities for them, I have heard so many good things about Camp Bestival, I really can’t wait to take the girls, you can read the details and get the full line up here.
D is for DVD night – Late night’s in the summer holidays are allowed we are going to have snuggly DVD nights & game nights including lots of treats!
E is for Eating Alfresco – BBQ’s & Picnic’s galore.
F is for Farm visits – Farmer Palmers or finkley farm is the question?
G is for Garden Games – Hop scotch, hula hoops, snakes and ladders, football you name it we’ll be doing it.
H is for Hengistbury Head – We love visiting this place on a sunny day perfect picnic spot.
I is for Ice cream – Because summer wouldn’t be summer with out them.
J is for Jumping waves – The beaches by us are gorgeous we can be found there all year round.
K is for Kingston Lacy – A walk around the gardens is over due.
L is for Lulworth Cove – It was one of our favourite spots when I was younger but I am yet to take the girls this summer we are changing that!
M is for Moors Valley – Moors valley is just great for kids they can run free, play on the play trail and even spot a stick man!
N is for New recipes – We love getting our bake on and as an ambassador for Bake Box this summer we are going to bake up a storm, you can’t always guarantee the great British weather so this is our rainy day activity.
O is for Orangoutangs – That’s right we are planning a trip to Monkey world!
P is for Premier – This weekend sees us kicking off the summer holidays with the UK premier of the BFG, to say I am excited is a slight understatement.
Q is for quality time with friends and family – When life gets busy it’s tough to keep up with everyone the summer holidays is a perfect time to make plans and catch up with everyone.
R is for Rock pooling – Because it’s just fun isn’t it!
S is for Sea life Centre – We are ambassadors for Weymouth Sealife Adventure Park meaning we visit a lot but there is so much to do the girls never get bored of it.
T is for Tregenna Castle – Monday we will be packing up and heading to St.Ives to visit the stunning Tregenna Castle and I cannot wait for a few days in Cornwall with my girls. Perfect start to our holidays.
U is for Uniform buying – Maisy’s off to year 1 and Bella will be starting her school life in reception, new uniforms are needed.
V is for Veg patch – We visited back in October for some pumpkin picking and the girls loved it we are going to go again and look for some strawberries.
W is for the West End – We’re heading to the West End to watch The Tiger Who Came To Tea, my girls know this story by heart so they’ll love seeing it come to life.
X is for eXploring the country side – There are so many places in Dorset to explore, beautiful spots that just need you and a picnic.
Y is for Yawning – Once we start on this list I can see three little yawning ladies each evening.
Z is for Zoo – Marwell Zoo we are coming for you!
Phew list and a half for us right there – what are your summer plans?
