Top tips for long car journeys with kids

Long car journeys with young children are never going to be overly fun are they, no-one wakes up and says ‘hmm come on family, lets go sit in the car for four hours today – it’ll be awesome’. It is the thing that most of us parents dread a little, you know it’s guna be a lovely day out or holiday but the traveling is just going to be a night mare. I have had quite a few long drives with the kids recently including 4 hours to visit Bluestone in Wales, as you can imagine with 3 children vs 1…

Weymouth Sealife Adventure Park

A little while ago I announced we are ambassadors for Weymouth Sealife adventure park, having been in the past and it being just a short drive from us I jumped at the chance – the girls just love visiting all the fish and penguins! There is so much more to the park than seeing some fish, on a trip the other week we took full advantage of the sunny weather and the girls had a ton of fun splashing and playing in the splash zone. It’s a great little spot to stop off for a picnic too with lots of…

Bluestone Wales – St David’s Lodge Review

The girls and I recently took ourselves back off to the Pembrokeshire country side to visit one of our favourite places in the UK – Bluestone National Park Resort, this is the third time we have been and we still absolutely love it and would visit time and time again. This time we were staying in a St David’s Lodge. As we always get so many questions about which accommodation is best at Bluestone I thought I would answer it all here for you. A Little Break At M by Montcalm Shoreditch

Over the weekend Caro, Sarah and I headed up to London for an event with Mumsnet, seen as it would take us each a couple of hours to travel in we thought why not make the most of it and stay overnight. After a little browse online we settled on the M by Montcalm drawn in instantly by the luxuriousness of the rooms, the thought of loosing a couple of hours in the spa and the fab location; in the heart of Shorditch surrounded by lots of amazing bars and restaurants. The building it self is just stunning as I…

As you may have spotted on social media a couple of weeks ago the girls and I headed off to Bluestone, Wales for a few days with Alice and Amelia! What was a rather spontaneous last minute trip turned out to be so much fun and I wanted to share a few snaps of what we all got up to as I of corse took about a thousand photos and Everything Mummy does serve as my online scrap book for the girls to one day look back through. Hopefully they’ll enjoy and not be too embarrassed about any stories or…

Thursday Fun Day’s – Oceanarium

Thursday’s are one of my most favourite day’s. Very random day to choose I know but it is the one day of the week that I have both Bella and Lottie off nursery and clear from all groups or clubs, it’s our free day to just go out and do something fun! Since Maisy started school in September I have been shocked at just how much I have missed her and having last minute mid week family days out. Bella will be starting school herself this September coming to I am vowing to have a fun day every Thursday, ideally…

My Biggest Holiday Gripes

It’s been a couple of years since I have taken the girls abroad, and as you can imagine  by now I am itching for some fun in the sun. I’ve found myself searching all week for the perfect summer holiday for us (when I probably should be working) it’s dawned on me I am actually quite picky nowadays! Where as I used to just find a good price and off I’d go now I am looking into facilities and things like transfer times – I have turned into a real responsible grown up. There is of corse good reason for this, have…
