Andrewshayes Holiday Park; a half term Devon break

I left off in my last post in a packed car, singing to Moana as we headed from Cornwall to Devon for part two of our half term break. We arrived at Andrewshayes Holiday Park at about 8pm, all pretty exhausted from a busy day we wasted no time in unpacking our bits and getting a good night sleep. First impressions were great the caravan was immaculate, well equipped and had loads of storage. I was so excited to see we had been upgraded from a luxury 3 bed to a luxury 3 bed WITH HOT TUB! Well it took…

Rumsdale Cottage; a half term Cornish break

As you may have spotted on my social media a few weeks ago the girls, Scott and I headed west for a few days in the cornish countryside. I love Cornwall, it’s one of those places that brings back so many fond childhood memories for me. I spent many summers visiting my grandparents in Cornwall, it’s a place I want my children to experience as I did. We were invited down to Rumsdale Cottage by Cornish Traditional Cottages for a few days of family fun. Half term was so welcome; as much as I love having a routine the school…

A Little Stay At The Christchurch Harbour Hotel

Last week I swept my boy off to the Christchurch Harbour Hotel as a little birthday treat! A completely selfless act as of corse spending the day in a spa doesn’t appeal to me at all (cough cough). Our room wasn’t quite ready to check into but I had assumed this would be the case so we headed into the Upper Deck restaurant for a…

January is all about planning and looking ahead at what the year will bring us. What do I want 2017 to bring me? Fun time with my family is always top of the list and this year I want us to take our first trip abroad all together. I’ve been abroad with Maisy and Bella before Lottie was born but little Lottie has never been on a plane! For two reasons; first being as a single parent the thought of me and three children in another country is quite scary. Secondly is the cost, it is so expensive to travel…

Longleat Festival Of Lights

The girls and I headed off to visit Longleat last week to experience the Festival of Lights for the first time! I had heard such great things about the event which runs throughout December we couldn’t wait to get down there. We’ve been to Longleat once before, it was when they were in the process of setting it all up since seeing that I have always been intrigued to go back and see it finished. I knew it was going to be pretty busy as tickets were sold out for the day, it was advised to leave extra time for…
