We all thought Summer had come to an end. I was all for getting out the knitwear and retiring the denim shorts to the depths of the wardrobe. Then something magical happened, to all of our surprise the sun came back and it was the perfect opportunity for us to try out our new Jaques of London outdoor games.
We were very kindly gifted these games and couldn’t wait to give them a try, after a few test runs inside we were thrilled the sun was shining and to be able to use them in the garden.
We chose the Giant dominos and Quiots.
The outdoor game’s sets arrived beautifully gift wrapped. I couldn’t help but think what a fantastic gift these would make; especially if you haven’t been able to see some friends or family for a while they would be the perfect present to send for the whole family to enjoy.
Lottie and I quickly got stuck into a game of Giant Dominoes. Lottie has been obsessed with this game, we’ve been playing it pretty much daily since they arrived. She’s actually really good at it as well, as much as I would like to say I let her win she regularly kick’s my butt! She’s figured out that there’s more to it than just laying a domino and it really methodical.
It’s amazing to watch her little brain working out her next move and trying to second guess mine.
Next up; a game of Quoits.
Such a simple game that’s guaranteed hours of fun for adults and children. I won’t lie, I am terrible at this game. Hand eye co-ordination has never been a strong point for me but we all have lots of fun never the less.
I love that they come in a handy storage bag too. Not only does it keep it all together but it makes it really easy for taking to a picnic or garden party else where.
As the only one in my group of friends with children (hurry up girls) it’s great for me to have a couple of games we can take to bbq’s to keep them entertained.

Ohh! What a lot of fun. I love those giant dominoes and we have a Quoits set and my girls love it even after years of playing it. Such a simple game. The kids always used to always think I was letting them win but I am useless at it too. lol

I love these giant garden games! So much fun. I remember being fascinated by a giant connect 4 when I was young.
