Do you ever really realise the importance of a good night sleep until it starts being taken away from you?
I know I didn’t, I have always loved my sleep but I took it for granted. When I was in my teens I slept way too much – there is definitely such a thing as having too much sleep, it made me lazy. When I had my girls I saw what it actually meant to feel exhausted the 3am feeds were physically painful and the 5am wake up calls are horrendous. As the girls have gotten older they do sleep pretty well at night, only really waking if they’re poorly – Bella does still sneak into bed with me most nights but she is like a little ninja I don’t even notice her!
Maisy is still a keen 6am riser and despite trying just about everything I don’t ever see her being any different and to be honest with the school run’s to do, work to get on with and a house to keep on top of a 6am start is often necessary. It means however my required 8 hours are important too me, I need them and if anything will give me a better night sleep I am willing to give it a try!
The Sleepy People got in touch recently and asked if I would live to improve my sleep and try one of their products – of corse I jumped at it, a comfy come bed is essential to getting that good night sleep.
I opted for the Silent night impress memory foam mattress topper and cover, I have always preferred more of a firm mattress so this 2.5 cm topper was ideal as it wouldn’t feel to cushiony (is that a word? it is now).
I was glad to see it came with a cover for the foam topper it’s really fitted to keep it in place, next was time to make my bed pretty again with my favourite duvet cover.
I couldn’t wait to get into my bed that night fresh sheets, new mattress topper – perfect!
I had the best night’s sleep ever! The mattress topper moulds to the contours of your body to provide support, designed to help reduce stress, relieve pressure, back pain and aching joints.
It just gives me that little extra comfort that makes all the difference, taking my sleep from good to great.
I’m one happy mumma!
