I recently mentioned in this post my plans for a Tuscan style girly night in with the help of Tuscanery, an awesome online service that will provide you with a tasting box of unique Tuscan delights.
When my boxes of goodies arrived I was completely overwhelmed by all the amazing food’s, many of which I hadn’t heard of let alone tried before so it was really exciting to look up some different recipes. All foods provided were authentically Tuscan you could really see the lengths they had gone to to keep things traditional and interesting (I even had to translate the packaging to find out exactly what certain items were!)
The night my friend came over for dinner we decided to go for more sharing dishes with a little bit of everything and we we’re really impressed!
A little bit of back ground into Tuscanery. All products in the boxes are made in various areas of Tuscany by small local businesses. They all produce organic biodynamic food on a small scale and support fair trade.
Most of their team is actually from Tuscany as well, they decided to create this subscription box service to give all these products and businesses international resonance and allow the world to know what real Italian excellence tastes like. And they really do just that! Each of the boxes will always contain a bottle of wine (that did it for me!) and a selection of pasta, cured meat, cheese, truffles and further artisanal products.
It is the perfect way to make an evening in with friends (or even a date night with valentines just around the corner) a little more interesting.
As the evening went on we ate, we drank and laughed a lot it was such fun putting on this little evening, I am now in love with Tuscan food and am looking forward to trying lots more. Maybe even in Tuscany one day? Who knows!
Word to the wise… decent Tuscan wine will have a cork, don’t miss place your cork screw and attempt to open with some scissors.
It won’t work and you will just end up having to go out and buy a new one.
This of corse is a hypothetical situation and didn’t actually happen at all *cough cough*.
Make sure you check out Tuscanery and give you own Tuscan night a go you won’t be disappointed!
Disclaimer: I was sent these items to review and share my honest opinions on the service.

It look’s like the perfect box for a night in. The fact that you had never tried anything makes it all the more exciting, I think. So funny that you tried to open the wine with a pair of scissors, we’ve all been there!

this looks like the perfect treat for a romantic night in or a night with friends.
I’ve made the corkscrew mistake too, after attempting to open it with knives, screwdrivers and pretty much everything else I went to the shop and bought a corkscrew, we then enjoyed the wine with bits of cork floating in it ha!
