Family Travel
Reviews and tips for Family travel as a large family.
A few weeks ago the girls and I were invited along by Blacks to visit Countryfile live for the day, I’ve not been before but with the promise of lots of family fun and hundreds of food stall I was sold. The drive up was long, the whole world and his wife seemed to be sat on that dual carriage way at that time so yes it took a lot longer than I had hoped. On arrival we parked in a field just opposite Blenheim Palace and made the walk over to the event. I was so shocked at the size…

Last Thursday I took the plunge, I took all three of my little ladies up to London, in the summer holidays. Am I mad taking 3 children aged 5 and under into the busiest city in the country? Yes probably but I am not one to ever miss out so off we went. The train was so busy even at off peak times but we managed to get some seats, the girls each had a magazine which kept them happy for the duration of the journey. We has a couple of things to do in London, I was attending an…

Travelling is quickly becoming a big love of mine, finding new countries I never thought of visiting is amazing and every day I find my bucket list is growing and growing. Finding child friendly countries is obviously massively important as I don’t get far without my three little shadows tagging along. If your like me this guest post about discovering beautiful Sicily with your children is a must read. After a good night sleep the girls were up and bouncing off the walls wanted togged back to Camp Bestival, we had a big breakfast before a big day and set off. Traffic was a lot busier getting to the event it took almost an hour as opposed to the 35 mins it should take, but we arrived just in time to catch the end of Mr Tumble so the girls were happy. If you want to watch the big acts on the main stage you need to try and get there a little bit early to secure a good spot,…

The girls and I were so excited to head off to Camp Bestival this weekend to spend a couple of days having a ton of fun together at our first ever festival! Being just down the road from and not feeling quite brave enough for camping with all three of the girls we just popped back and forth for the day. Which worked out really well for our first festival experience as it meant we could leave as the girls started to flag and we had comfy beds to jump into! Campers can arrive on site from Thursday to pitch…

Day two a Tregenna Castle started out just perfectly, the sun was shinning, we had all slept well and we were up and excited to get to the beach. We had breakfast included in our stay so headed down early to the restaurant to fuel ourselves up for the day. Breakfast was a buffet style with a large range of cooked and continental options available so there is something for everyone, I opted for a nice big cooked breakfast while the girls preferred coco pops and fruit to get their day started. With full stomaches we set off into St.Ives to…

I mentioned in our A-Z of summer fun that we were starting the summer break off with a little holiday in Cornwall, we headed to Tregenna Castle situation in the stunning town of St.Ives to enjoy a couple of days just me and my girls! The resort offers a choice of 70 self-catering cottages and 81 hotel rooms, set in the 72 acre estate. There is plenty of activities at Tregenna Castle to suit all ages such as golf, two swimming pools, kids entertainment at Castle Kids and you can even book in for some pampering at Castle Beauty. Failing all that you can…
