Christmas sorted with Our Generation

What is your children’s favourite game to play? Mine love to play schools above anything else. They can spend hours in their room swapping between being teachers and students, I love listening in on it. It gives me an idea of what they get up to at school and it seems to encourage their learning without them even realising.
Only last night I was at Lottie’s parents evening and her teacher was expressing how please she as with her progress. Her letter formation and sounding out and then I realised I can’t take all the credit it comes from Bella and Maisy playing schools with her and encouraging her to read and write with them. My big girls have unintentionally done half of the leg work and it’s great!

With Christmas not far off I have been thinking about what I can get for my girls that will encourage their love of playing schools. I thought of a white board or some new stationery and then I spotted the new Our Generation School Room and thought it was perfect! The girls get more students to join them and have a real class room set up to enhance their games.

The Our Generation School Room Play Set feels like walking into a real school, with the alphabet running across the top of the walls to help students with their writing. The working clock, ringing school bell and light up chalk board with chalk give it the extra cool finishing touches that the girls will love playing with.

The play set contains 92 fun school related items with things like highlighters, stickers and mini pencils they really have thought of everything. At £149.99 it isn’t the cheapest play set but I know for my three it is going to make a great Christmas gift for them to share this year, I know they will love it and get so much use out of it!
The dolls are sold seperatly but I would say you don’t necessarily need to buy the specific dolls to enjoy the play set.

This post is a collaboration with Smyths – all thoughts and opinions are my own.
