Celebrating Our Differences With Vampirina

A new sensation has taken over Disney Junior, she’s purple, she can fly and her name is Vee.

Vee stars in the new hit show Vampirina; a show all about celebrating our differences and finding true and meaningful friendships. Showing we are all the same no matter whether you are a vampire, human or even a ghost. For those of you who haven’t seen it (where have you been?) Vampirina follows the journey of Vee and her vampire family as they up sticks and move from their home in spooky Transylvania to a quiet neighborhood in Pennsylvania to open up there very own scare B&B.

It’s a really sweet show. I do try and limit the girls screen time but if they are watching TV I’d always rather it was a show with a nice under lying message of friendship.

Vampirina has been a huge hit in our household, the theme tune swims around in my head daily and the girls can often be found playing at being Vee, Poppy and Bridget. Anything that brings their imaginations to life is fine by me. So when the Disney Store got in touch and asked if they could send the girls a big bundle of Vamprinia toys I knew they would be absolutely thrilled!

Here’s Lottie singing into the microphone wearing her bat wings!

We received a really amazing selection of Vampirina toys the girls were bouncing around the room in excitement as we unboxed them. Two particular hits have been the spookylele and microphone. I have had regular performances from my very own little rock stars!

The microphone is really cool the kids can actually record themselves belting out a future hit and play it back. Their motto seems to be the louder you sing the better it sounds, I’m not sure my ear drums agree with that though.

The Spookylele comes with the fab accessories as well, dress up always helps the game their playing come to life. I love to watch my girls play, they’re so funny together. Children have the best imaginations some of the things they come up with are just hilarious.

Thankfully in the bundle were also some quieter toys, so while Lottie was having a rock star break she could have a drink in the fun new cup and do some colouring. Whats really cool about this colouring book is it’s also in the shape of a Spookylele and it plays the Vampirina theme tune. It’s really no wonder I spend my days humming the song.

After all the fun and excitement there is nothing better than snuggling on the sofa, Lottie loves to cuddle her light up Demi teddy. It’s only recently she’s started saying she doesn’t like the dark and getting upset occasionally come bed time. Demi has been with her every night since he arrived the little glow is enough to giver her some comfort and he’s super cuddly.

As well as having a ton of fun with the new toys it also helped bring up the conversation of people’s differences and the girls and I had chance to talk about what makes us different like hair colour, eye colour or how me and Bella have freckles on our noses in the summer but Maisy doesn’t. Of all things I dream and hope my children will achieve one day, to be kind to everyone no matter what is the most important. Shows and toys like these really help broach the subject in a relaxed way – A big thanks to Disney Store we have been loving our new toys!

If they made this in adult sizes I would be tempted, I love those gloves! Cutest little vampire in the world 🙂
