Gousto Box Review

The lovely team at Gousto recently got in touch and asked if I would like to review one of their boxes it didn’t take much thinking I love cooking and trying new recipes and I love food it was a no brainer!

So in a nutshell Gousto send you good quality ingredients fresh to your door for three meals, everything is in the correct portion size which means no measuring no fuss and when I say the include everything they really do – every herb or spice you will need is included except things like oil or salt and pepper which is optional, they also give you a simple recipe card for each dish to follow. IMG_7326

So how did I get on, when my box first arrived I was so excited my only problem was what to cook first! I love that everything is included, so many times I’ve followed recipes and I’m missing off one or two ingredients it drives me nuts! IMG_7324

First up I made the Jerk Chicken – which I’ve never had before but I know its can be very spicy I’m not a big spice lover so I was a little scared. I must confess I put more or less all the chilli’s on to Ryan’s dinner (muhahaha), mine still had a good kick to it but I could eat it and I really enjoyed it!IMG_7331

Next up I made the chicken schnitzel again yum and so simple to make I really like breaded chicken anyways but I tend to buy it pre made and now I know how simple it is to so yourself I have since been making my own.

Lastly I made the sicilian pork traybake the recipe was easy to follow and I was excited to try something I’ve never had before but I have to admit it was not for me, sadly I didn’t enjoy it anywhere near as much as the previous two meals, but having said that as I received this box for review I didn’t get to choose the dishes I wanted – generally customers will have a choice from of 10 dishes which changes every week so next time I order I will have that choice and the Sicilian tray bake wouldn’t have been something I usually chose.

On the whole I would 100% recommend a gousto box they are delicious, the recipe card is fool-proof it’s so nice to create some new dishes and change-up our usual menu. I found the service really convenient and also good value.

When ordering if you use the code EVERYTHINGMUMMY20 You will receive a huge £20 off your first box, making it better than half price – what are you waiting for!
