Sensory Stories At ZSL London Zoo : Review Last week Elsie and I were invited to ZSL London Zoo for Sensory Stories at The Zoo. We have loved being able to get out to sensory play recently so I knew this would be a huge hit with Elsie and I couldn’t wait to see what these new sessions had to offer. It was an early start as we headed for the zoo, the drive wasn’t actually too bad at all the commuter traffic still seems so much quieter than pre-covid. Elsie and I arrived in good time and had a…

It feels like such a long time ago that we took a long weekend family trip in Cornwall. So much has been going on in the mean time it feels like a distant memory – in reality it was only a few weeks ago that we were exploring the gorgeous seaside town of St.Ives. St.Ives is one of my favourite places in Cornwall, there is just something about the quirky little town that I love. We’ve been a few times in the past but this time we were staying at the John Fowler holiday park, roughly a 10 minute drive…

The chance to go on an amazing holiday together is something every family hopes for. Dreams of exotic villas and sunny skies in overseas destinations can be what gets you through the working day. Sometimes, this isn’t possible when funds are low and time is short. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t have a wonderful time making the most of the UK and all it has to offer. Luckily, there are many child-friendly destinations ideal for families to indulge in. With numerous activities to enjoy, you can create a great holiday, but only if you have the right destinations in…

The 6 week holidays is a long time for us parents to entertain the kids. I find it easiest to plan ahead and break it up with a few trips or bigger(er) days out here and there and then add in the play dates, park days & beach trips. Before you know it your schedule is pretty full and the kids are happy! So that is one of the reasons I booked in a couple of days away for the kids and I in London. It was our little girls trip and we had so much fun! Hotels in London aren’t…

We arrived at Ladram Bay late Friday evening after a fun filled day at Crealy Adventure Park. Everyone was knackered after such a busy day so we were ready for a fish and chips dinner followed by an early night. We had a good look through all the brochures and leaflets to make sure the following day was as jam packed as possible. Our next day started bright and early (as always when my children are involved); it was a gorgeous day so we couldn’t wait to get out and explore all that Ladram Bay had to offer. The top of the kids…

Yet another busy weekend has been and gone for us and I once again spent the last two days up to my eye balls in washing trying to discover where the missing hair brushes are! Yes we went away for two nights and all order in my household fell apart immediately. It was so worth it though. Our weekend away in Devon started on an adrenaline filled high at Crealy Adventure Park. We all had a fab afternoon going from ride to ride. It was such a nice quiet day in the park, we didn’t have to queue for a ride…

Last Friday my day started ridiculously early but all for good reason, I packed my little babes off to school and nursery and hopped on the train to London. It feels like forever ago since I was last in town for an event it was well over due. Scott and I were heading to The Shard to hear all about Chestertons Polo in the Park, the annual polo competition held at Hurlingham park in Fulham on the 9,10 & 11th June. I never really pictured Polo as being my thing but since going along and hearing a little more I’m a complete…
