The Weekly – Our Half Term

Last week was more or less radio silence over here; sorry but we ended up having a ram packed half term so not a great deal of time for blogging! If you follow me over on Youtube as well you’ll know I am daily uploading in Feb, it’s been a great challenge but I am kinda ready for March to arrive so I can go back to 3 videos a week!

I thought I would just quickly pop on and share our half term in my favourite form – PHOTO.

February half term is probably the worst half term of them all, I’m usually still broke from Christmas and all the birthday’s  and it’s almost guaranteed to be bad weather. However with three young children there isn’t much time to sit around moping about the weather and lack of bank balance. It’s best to just get out and have some fun regardless, I tired to hardest not to spend much money but we did have a couple of days out which when you’re paying for 3 are NEVER cheap!

Monday was a gorgeous day, although still pretty nippy the sun was shinning and we met up with our friends for a day as Kingston Lacy followed by visiting Dippy the Diplodocus at the Dorset County Museum in Dorchester!

It was a really great day, seeing dippy is free and what with already having a national trust past the day cost us nothing beside a cheeky afternoon tea!

I love getting out early and not getting back till dinner time it means you are guaranteed an easy bed time!

Tuesday was pancake day! Pancakes are one of my favourite things ever, we seem to have them way more than once a year. We had pancakes for breakfast and then headed over to my sisters for yep MORE pancakes!

Wednesday we were rained off, our plans to head to Upton Country Park with friends were scraped when the heavens opened and they all came to ours instead for a little play date. The kids were happy to have their friends over I was happy to have a natter with some grown ups! It was also Valentines Day, Scott’s away at work so no massive romantic day for me I was woken up by the girls with a home made card and some coco pops which was pretty cute!

Thursday was another beautiful day filled with sunshine! We set out early for trampolining, and then went to Avon Heath Country Park with Alice and Amelia.

It was great to see them and have a catch up, the girls had a blast at trampolining and bounced of a hell of a lot of energy. Avon Heath was nice but we under estimated the mud and all ended up pretty covered! The girls ended up straight in the bath when we got home, not that they minded – mid afternoon baths always seem so much fun!

As we were all in pjs by 3pm it seemed the perfect excuse for a movie afternoon!

Friday we had a lazy day, a floor picnic before nipping into town for a costa date and to sort out the girls passports out! They couldn’t grasp the no smiling for the photo. Bella said but you always tell us to smile for photo’s (blogger’s child).

And then it was the weekend. The girls were with their dad on Friday night and Saturday so I had a girly evening out to Pizza express and the cinema! Saturday was for birthday prep as on Sunday my little Lottie turned FOUR! We had a really fun day out at Farmer Palmers, we opened pressies, ate cake and I had one very happy little birthday girl.

Half term exceeded all expectations, we had such a lovely week off. Now it’s back to the school runs, mornings of trying to find tights without holes in and rushing around for their after school clubs – hope you guys had a great week!
