Beach & Bikes

It’s easy to take what is right  on your doorstep for granted.

We are lucky enough to live a stones throw away from one of the nicest beaches in the country and yet we can go weeks, even months without visiting.

When the cold sets in I like to hibernate, unfortunately with three energy filled children hibernating is not in their nature. So I am learning to embrace the cold and get out there anyway.

Thursday after school we bunged all the bikes in the boot and headed to Sandbanks so the girls could whip up and down. Lottie got a new bike for her birthday and has been itching to get out on it!

Here she goes! How adorable is she in her little helmet. She got the hang of it so quickly and had great fun trying to keep up with her sisters.

This one thinks she’s some kind of BMX racer. She has learnt the art of standing and riding which gave us a fair few near misses and lots of ‘I can’t look’ moments – my girl is fearless.

Although it looks gorgeous it was only about 2 degrees which didn’t bother the kids in the slightest but I do wish I’d worn some gloves!

We stopped in the beachside cafe for a hot drink to warm up before a sunset cycle back.

Afterschool adventure’s really are some of my favourite.

You are SO lucky to live that close to such a gorgeous beach.

Jasmine got a bike for Christmas but doesn’t have a lot of confidence on it. Hopefully when the weather picks up, we can get out on it more.
