August has been the last month with my biggest girl at home during the day, this time next week she will be in the full swing of reception life! She is so ready for school and has missed her friends massively over the last 6 weeks. Some days has been a little bit of a handful but I will miss her a lot when she is in for the full day.
I bought Maisy a guitar online a few weeks ago, a ukulele turned up but she didn’t mind. I been listening to the lovely sounds of Maisy’s ukulele skills this month, oh and the singing that goes along side of corse. She loves it.
Swimming lessons have still been on throughout the summer and Maisy has progressed to having just one of the foam arm bands – I am so proud of her. She really goes for it each week and has come on so quickly.
Maisy’s favourite thing so do at the moment when she’s not busting out a tune on the ukulele is hair, everybody’s mine, barbies, giant purple minion and even poor Lottie sometimes has to take a trip to ‘Maisy’s hairdressers’.
Bella (3 years 7 months)
Bella has just been her same crazy little self this month always making us laugh and keeping us entertained.
She has two new loves this month – spiderman and the hulk. Yep she might look all blonde and angelic but she loves her comic books and superheroes. Bella can often be found chasing her sisters around shouting ‘HULK SMASH.’
During August Bella and Maisy have both been going to holiday club one day a week at Bella’s nursery. I’ve mentioned previously about Bella not being the most confident when away from me and her sister’s. Having Maisy there with her saw a whole new side to Bella come out, the mischievous, cheeky, funny and outgoing side that I see everyday. They both had a great time together and I hope she continues to stay so happy when she is back to nursery by her self.
Lottie (18 months)
Last month I mentioned Lottie had been a little monster, not sleeping or eating properly at all. I am pleased to report that all is right in her little world again and we have full nights sleep back and dinners are being eaten everyday – Hallelujah.
She is one independent little madam who doesn’t like help with anything, for instance if she’s struggling to climb up on something and you dare to help her, she will growl at you, climb back down and do it again by herself.
The afternoon nap is long gone, I think she must have been having some kind of growth spurt last month as she was napping loads but now we are definitely down to just one and I actually prefer it means we can get out more without having to revolve our day around nap time.
Lottie now hates the push chair and insists on charging about everywhere usually into things and other people but she tends to be laughing as she goes so it’s fine.
