Do you ever get those times when you just feel a little restless? A little like life is passing you by?
I am having one of those phases and the moment I feel like I have a travel bug and all I want to do is jump in the car or hop on a plane and have our own adventure. There is so much I want to see, do and share with my girls, I have a long list of places to visit that I need to get stuck into.
I have never travelled that far from home in the past, I think it was an anxiety thing. I didn’t like to be out of my comfort zone but I seem to be passed that now and find myself trawling the internet for hours day-dreaming about future trips.
Now with three young girls I don’t see myself back packing across Australia heck I don’t think I’d be cut out for that without children anyway! I am looking at family friendly destinations within a few hours drive or flight and these are some of my favourites.
After my little taste of cruise life I can’t help but picture my girls and I hoping on board one of the gorgeous princess cruise ships and lapping up the luxury, I also like that you get to dock in a few different countires and have a little explore.
Greece – somewhere I have wanted to visit since I was little, such a beautiful beautiful country. I read a review from one of my favourite travel bloggers mini travellers of their stay at Mousses villas and it made me want to visit the country even more.
Tenerife – a nice easy flight over to the gorgeous canary island, a real family friendly place to visit. I have my eye on this ITC luxury travel resort The Ritz-Carlton, Abama absolutely stunning I would be right at home by this pool, they would have a job to get me on the flight home!
Then there are the UK breaks which are probably more likely to happen over the next couple of years, we are off next week for a stay at the lovely furrow fields lodge in Dorset which you will be able to read all about on our return!
I have been saying it for ages but I need to take the girls down to Cornwall for a visit, it was always our holiday destination when I was a child as my grandparents live down there and I really want to share it with my own children, especially as we lost my grandad this year it makes it even more special to me as I have so many fond memories of him from when we went to stay.
So this is what I spend my day doing when I should be working, day-dreaming about holidays but who can blame me. Is there anywhere you would love to visit?
