A Little Stay At The Christchurch Harbour Hotel

Last week I swept my boy off to the Christchurch Harbour Hotel as a little birthday treat! A completely selfless act as of corse spending the day in a spa doesn’t appeal to me at all (cough cough). As much as I was sweeping him off I was so excited to have a little break myself. Off we set for Christchurch; It’s only a 40 minute drive for us so we arrived pretty early. Our room wasn’t quite ready to check into but I had assumed this would be the case so we headed into the Upper Deck restaurant for a…

Wintery Beach Walks

Once again I find myself miserable with a cold. I hadn’t’ been able to shake the last one from back in December, so to find myself feeling crappy again really isn’t the best. Being ill with children means you don’t really have the time to be ill at all. You dose up, you suck it up and you carry on with your day. Thursday’s are always Mummy and Lottie day’s. She has no nursery, I don’t work that day at all if can be helped, so we head off to do something fun together. Cold or no cold it was…

National Trust Adventures – Corfe Castle

This weekend we pulled on our welly boots and headed over to Corfe Castle for our next National Trust adventure we needed to burn off some of that never ending energy my girls seem to have and Corfe Castle won their vote. I used to visit Corfe every year as a little girl, my grandparents always rented a cottage for a few weeks and it was lovely but I hadn’t been back for years and had yet to take the girls. From the car park there is a 10 minute walk to get up the the castle itself it’s a nice little…

A Weekend Away With SenSpa At Careys Manor Hotel

Even by just thinking back to the weekend of pampering I’ve had at Carey’s Manor I instantly relax a little, I love a good spa day and their SenSpa is 100% up there with the best I have been in – ever. Careys Manor Hotel is situated in the beautiful New Forest countryside, the SenSpa is an authentic Thai spa which boasts 5 star facilities focusing on holistic wellness. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who offered us drinks and talked us through what our stay would entail, they were very accommodating changing our previously booked lunch reservation for a…

Camp Bestival – Saturday

After a good night sleep the girls were up and bouncing off the walls wanted togged back to Camp Bestival, we had a big breakfast before a big day and set off. Traffic was a lot busier getting to the event it took almost an hour as opposed to the 35 mins it should take, but we arrived just in time to catch the end of Mr Tumble so the girls were happy. If you want to watch the big acts on the main stage you need to try and get there a little bit early to secure a good spot,…

Bike Riding At Hengistbury Head

We have been blessed with some absolutely gorgeous weather recently – hope it sticks around for half term! With both our eldest’s busy at school Claire from The Witt Family and I took the girls off for a little bike ride and picnic last week at Hengistbury Head, a real beauty spot in Dorset made even more beautiful when the sun is shining. As per usual I took a bunch of photos and want to share some of my faves! Bella was spiderman’d up to the max as always. The girls loved it the trail from the car park to…

Our first paddle of the year

I feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the country, I really don’t think I would ever be able to move away. I love the slow relaxed pace of Dorset, all the amazing things there are for children and the picture perfect spots we have for days out and fun in the sun. But the thing I love most about where I live is the miles of beautiful golden sand that are just minutes from our house, when summer hits we spend so much time on the beach, making castles and even having a little splash in the…
