10 Family Days Out In Norfolk

I love to travel with the children, taking them to visit a new town or city is an exciting experience for us all. With it often just being me and them, UK breaks are so much more feasible than going abroad. In the days before children I wouldn’t have really considered the UK as a top holiday destination but since growing my brood I have really had my eyes open and can see really we have everything we need on our door steps (okay maybe a few hours drive) available to us. When we holiday in the UK my first…

36 hours in London with Three Children

The 6 week holidays is a long time for us parents to entertain the kids. I find it easiest to plan ahead and break it up with a few trips or bigger(er) days out here and there and then add in the play dates, park days & beach trips. Before you know it your schedule is pretty full and the kids are happy! So that is one of the reasons I booked in a couple of days away for the kids and I in London. It was our little girls trip and we had so much fun! Hotels in London aren’t…

National Trust Adventures – Mottisfont

Our national trust adventures have continued over the summer holidays! Recently we took the girls over to Mottisfont to explore all that it has to offer. Mottisfont National Trust is located in Romsey, it boasts a gorgeous house and gallery set in some of the most beautiful riverside gardens I have ever seen. We have visited Mottisfont once before; we loved it but it was only a quick visit. I was desperate to get back at some point during these holidays to really enjoy it. It is just over an hours drive for us so it is one of those…

BBC Countryfile Live 2017

BBC Countryfile Live 2017 has been and gone; to think this time last week it was all in full swing is mad – we had such an awesome day and it feels like yonks ago now. Last year the girls and I went up to first ever BBC Countryfile live held at Blenheim Palace. I didn’t know what to expect at all, I’ve heard of the show but it’s not something I necessarily watch. The sheer size of the event and all the activities for us to get stuck into just blew me away – we had the best day! When…

A Day Out With Thomas

As you guys know the girls and I love getting out and about, trying new things and seeing new places. A few weeks ago we were very kindly invited to go for a day out with Thomas on the Watercress line. For a few weeks of the year Thomas and Friends take over the Watercress line and the whole station transforms into an amazing family day out. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this day out but when we arrived I was so impressed to see all they had going on, the whole station was involved and the kids…

Warner Bros. Studio Tour LONDON!

What happen’s when you take two over excited Harry Potter fans and put them into the Warner Bros. studio tour? A bloody good day out that’s what. Last week my friend Bianca and I headed up to Watford to do just that. After saying we wanted to do it for sooo long and booking these tickets months ago we were like two small children at christmas. The tour started with watching a sort of intro hosted by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. It really showed just how passionate they are about the film’s and some amazing facts about…

National Trust Adventures – Hinton Ampner

I officially became a national trust member a few weeks ago; something I never thought I would be. This year the girls and I have found ourselves out and about enjoying  walking, exploring and picnics a hell of a lot more it just made sense to get a national trust membership. There are so many great places nearby to us which we were going to and paying for regularly, having the membership just gives us the freedom to pop to the ones locally when ever we fancy but it’s also made me think about setting our sights a little further…
