10 Family Days Out In Norfolk

I love to travel with the children, taking them to visit a new town or city is an exciting experience for us all. With it often just being me and them, UK breaks are so much more feasible than going abroad. In the days before children I wouldn’t have really considered the UK as a top holiday destination but since growing my brood I have really had my eyes open and can see really we have everything we need on our door steps (okay maybe a few hours drive) available to us.

When we holiday in the UK my first choice is to always stay in a cottage or holiday home; in my experience they are just like a home from home with all those comforts and necessities that you miss when you stay in a hotel. Having the freedom of your own living space/kitchen etc makes it such a relaxing experience you can really get a feel for the area you are staying in. It also helps that the owners are locals and can give you the inside knowledge on the area so you don’t miss any hidden gems.

My go-to for planning our next trip right now is Original Cottages; mainly because the website is just so easy to navigate. I can’t stand faffy travel sites, I put in my destination, dates etc and am instantly shown an array of amazing accommodation options.

We’ve done Cornwall, Devon, Wales and London so many times and had so much fun that I am now looking to adventure further afield and try new destinations. So when I was using the inspiration tab on Original Cottages for some idea for family friendly holiday’s Norfolk came up.

It isn’t somewhere I had even considered but I thought I’d have a little look at what was on locally. I was pleasantly surprised to discover so much that I wanted to share my top ten picks with you guys if you were looking for some idea’s for family day’s out in Norfolk.
