What a weekend!
Bella turned 8 on Friday so naturally a weekend of celebrations followed.
My horse mad little lady was thrilled with her horse riding lessons for her birthday and even more excited to hear the first was going to be on Saturday.
Friday was of corse a school day, so off my little birthday girl went armed with sweets for all of her friends and a big fat in your face birthday badge!!
Friday night was a chilled one; Bella had the choice of going out for dinner or staying in with a take away of her choice, she chose a KFC at home – she’s her mothers daughter all right. We enjoyed a big feast with a battle on Mario Kart and Just Dance.
Saturday morning came round quickly we wrapped up and headed down to the stables for Bella’s first ride. She was beyond excited, so much so she didn’t stop talking about what the horse was going to look like for the whole 30 minute drive.
And then we met Woody..
It was a gorgeous day for it. Bella was great, so confident and listening to everything the instructor taught her.
Major mum points were won here.
However as lovely as it was to see my girl living out her passion I somehow got covered in mud traipsing across this field. When I say covered I mean mud to my thigh and having to drive home bare foot! Not a good look, I need a crash course in being a horsey mum, that and some new wellies.
Sunday was party day, we headed to pizza express with a group of Bella’s best friends for a pizza making party! We did this party for Maisy’s 8th Birthday too it was such a hit (and really reasonably priced). Everyone had a fab time and even I got involved with a blind folded taste testing.
An amazing few days for us all spent celebrating Bella’s birthday.
Now, one more birthday to go before party season is over for this mumma! Three birthdays and Christmas is the space of 6 weeks is not for the faint hearted.
