Summer is my favourite time of year, hands down! I love the long days, the warm weather, the summer holidays and the freedom to just get outdoors it’s the best!
I always write a little summer bucket list for the girls and I and this year is no different.
I am working throughout the summer holiday but a little bit of full time work will not be stopping the fun! I am very lucky to have 2 days a week working from home so although I’ll be working I can still set up some fun activities for the girls and we will have the late afternoons/evenings to get out and about as well as the weekends of corse!
Summer 2019 plans
In a weeks time we are off to France with Eurocamp, I have seen so many amazing reviews of Eurocamp so we are all very excited to see what they have to offer. For a family trip I think they look just perfect with a ton of activities in the parcs and comfortable accommodation to fit us all. Traveling with three children can be really tough as quite often hotel rooms etc will only sleep 4! Anyway were so excited for our family holiday!
When in France.. We’re staying in Paris so it would be almost inhumane not to combine the holiday with a trip to the magical land that is Disney. It’s a surprise for the girls so shhhhhh.
The Circus is coming to town and we have tickets – wooooo! It will be the girls first ever circus trip and I for one cannot wait, the circus is always so much fun!
A Bonkers Balloon Science Show
A cool new show is coming to Portsmouth Guildhall and I am taking the kids to see it. The Guildhall are really championing inclusive and educational family theatre currently and have an Adults Go Free offer on this show with the code STATIC, making the ticket for parent and child just £8. Bargain if you are local make sure you check it out! I think we may try and make a weekend of it.
Obviously summer wouldn’t be summer with out some festival fun! If you have been a reader of everything mummy for a while now you will know we have been at Camp Bestival for the last three years and wouldn’t miss it. Last year Camp Bestival was a little different and it didn’t have quite the same feel, it’s having a little bit of a revamp and I am so excited to see what they have pulled out the bag for 2019. There are some great headliners and as always there will be loads lined up for the kids. Read my 15 reasons to visit Camp Bestival here.
Another event I have been to for the last three years. I feel like I stumbled accidently across Countryfile Live, back in 2016 I went to the first Countryfile Live, I had no idea what to expect. I went with a brand and was just blown away – such a great day out, so much to do and an incredible atmosphere. I’ve been back both years since and this year won’t be any different. Definetly not to be missed. It’s grown year on year so I’m excited to see what 2019 has in store!
We then have a quiet couple of weeks – which I think I’ll be needing by then. I have a couple of work trips one to Belfast, one to London and lots of events to plan and organise in-between. The girls will be having a ton of fun at holiday club or hanging out with family while I work, they’re so excited for holiday club after reading the timetable of activities.
We are then finishing off the summer with..
This will be our first time at Victorious Festival in Portsmouth. I have heard great things about this family festival and can’t wait to check it out. Again the line up looks awesome. The girls and I are aiming to go on the Friday for the day so that should be really fun!
