If you have followed me for a while you will know I love a good spa day. If I am looking for a rare day to just relax and unwind (child free) a spa is always my first thought. Not too long ago I was invited to try out the Eforea Spa at the Hilton Ageas Bowl in Southampton, it’s not too far from me so as you can imagine I was there like a shot!
We started off with a dip in the spa, the spa was much bigger and well equipped than many Hiltons I have stayed in before which was great. They had the pool which has relaxing jets and neck massagers in. It was the perfect temperature! They have a sauna, steam room, foot spas an outdoor whirlpool (which sadly we couldn’t use as the chlorine levels were wrong or something) and plenty of loungers and relaxation rooms. It was nice and quiet with low lighting – the ideal tranquil setting for relaxing.
I can spend hours just going from sauna to spa to steam to relaxation room happily dozing and chatting. I know it’s not for everyone but I just never get bored of it.
After a little while it was time for our treatments. James opted for a 60 minute full body massage while I went for a 30 minute back, neck and shoulder massage and a 30 minute facial. I’d like to tell you all about the massage but I (as usual) found my self dozing off. That’s a great sign though surely?
My facial was great, my therapist used Elemis products and as she’d made sure she knew all about my skin type before the treatment it was all gentle products that complimented my sensitive skin. I was left feeling throughly pampered with glowing soft skin.
Everything within the spa was clean and well maintained which just adds to the relaxing feel theres nothing worse than rough towels or a hole in the ceiling when your trying to chill out. One day I will write about the most disastrous spa day I once had with one of my best friends but it’s really made me appreciate the little things.
It was then on to our afternoon tea. Just what we needed.
Why is it when it comes out on the little tray you think yeah I’ll demolish this, but you NEVER can. Luckily they has come takeaway boxes for the cakes we didn’t finish. It was a gorgeous selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes.
Then it was sadly time for our spa session to end! We had such a lovely time, we left feeling fully pampered and looked after.
The Eforea Spa at the Hilton Ageas Bowl, is a the perfect destination if you are looking for a nice spa day, there are a ton of treatments to choose from and the prices are really reasonable.
