Making Most Of The ‘Why Not’ Moments With Milkybar®

So much has changed in our household recently with going back into full time work. I have been getting used the new routine and trying to juggle work, kids, and home life and the girls have been adjusting to extra nursery and after school clubs.

It’s been a challenge, I won’t lie I am pretty exhausted by the end of each day but it’s been amazing. I love the new job and the girls have taken it all in their stride, kids are such resilient little things aren’t they.

One thing I have struggled with since starting my new job is having so much less fun family time with my girls. They’re my favourite people to hang out with but with only a few hours in the evenings to get everything done the minutes soon tick by and all of a sudden it seems to be bed time again!

Last night the sun was shining and the girls suggested an after dinner trip to the park. I took inspiration from latest Milkybar® ‘why not’ campaign and decided to leave the dishes, leave the chores and take our pudding with us!

The brand new Milkybar® Wowsomes® have 30% less sugar than similar chocolate products but are so so delicious they make for the perfect after dinner treat for the kids (and the grown ups)!

Wowsomes® are the first Milkybar® product to use both milk and white chocolate making them extra tasty and as they contain no artificial colours, flavours, preservatives and sweeteners you really end up saying ‘why not?’ when the girls are asking for a tasty after dinner treat.

The girls and I had so much fun in the last of the long summer’s day’s sun, we even managed to collect some shells on the beach and have a little paddle in the sea before heading home full of fresh air and ready for bed.

They laughed so much as we ran around it makes me so happy to see my girls smile.

Quality time with my daughters will always be so important to me, I knew starting a new job would make it more challenging during the week but I am so pleased we are still making time for it as often as we can.

I definitely plan on a lot more ‘why not’ evenings in the future- impulsive outings always turn out to be the best!

It was really lovely, its tough to be a ‘why not’ parent all the time with so many responsibilities but every now and then it’s great fun x

I love the idea of saying ‘why not’. I read the book ‘Yes Man’ a couple of years ago and found it really inspiring. Saying ‘Yes’ or ‘Why not’ more can bring so much happiness…

I hope when my little one arrives I’ll be a ‘why not’ parents but my partner already jokes he’s the fun one and mummy will be the boring one! Haha I’m sure it must have been an adjustment going back to work but I’m sure your girls appreciate time with you so much more now! I loved Milkybars as a kid, we’ll have to try those new ones out!
