For 24 years I have been a blondie – different tones, slightly lighter, slightly darker but always known for my long blonde locks.
You might have spotted on my social media channels this week that mumma has a brand new do!
Changing my hair up big time is something I have wanted to do for a long time, I was in two minds either going for a completely different style (long bob or lob if you are down with the kids) or a new colour – Grey.
As you can see I went for grey as I couldn’t bare to loose the length.
What made me finally take the plunge then? Well I was invited down to the newly rebranded Francesco Group in Bournemouth to enjoy a little bit of TLC on my locks.
On arrival I was greeted by the lovely and friendly team who continued to look after me all day topping up my coffee and making sure I had an abundance of glossy mags to read. All those hard working mumma’s out there you know what I mean when I say a coffee and magazine in peace is like pure bliss on a Tuesday morning. The salon it self is gorgeous, the monochrome spacious layout gives it that modern, high end feel that I love – for me a trip to the salon is a treat so I want to feel like I’m sat in a little bit of luxury.
My hair was being looked after by the amazing creative director Kinga, we sat down and had a brief chat about what I was looking to achieve and she talked me through exactly what products she was going to use and how we would achieve my goal of going grey. I felt in great hands as Kinga certainly knew her stuff – before long they got cracking..
After roughly 3 hours, two cappuccinos, 4 glossy mags, a cut and blow dry I left Francesco Group feeling brand new I have the gorgeously cool grey hair I wanted and I ruddy loves it. It’s taken a little getting used too a lot of walking past mirrors and thinking oh yeah I changed my hair but I love this new look.
Massive thank-you to Kinga and all the team at Francesco Group Bournemouth for making care of me!
I absolutely LOVE it and if there was a way for me to have that colour I definitely would! Unfortunately with such dark hair I will have to wait for nature to turn me grey instead!! Haha!! x

Looks gorgeous on you. I haven’t dyed my hair in almost 3 years I’d say. My natural colour is dark blonde I used to dye it brown. I think I’m going to change it again because I am getting bored of blonde again.
