My Girls – July

my girls july

Maisy (4 years 7 months)

July was a big month for Maisy, she has finished nursery now and we are currently enjoying the summer holiday’s before she starts reception in September – she’s very excited to be becoming a Lobster (class name) and I just want to sob a little.

The most exciting part about leaving was the huge folder full of art work she got to bring home she proudly showed me each piece 90% was covered in glitter but that’s Maisy for you!

July also brought sports day which was amazing to watch her first ever sports day all the kids did so well and really enjoyed themselves.

She’s been a little bit ill the last week or so some kind of sickness bug she can’t seem to shift it has been coming and going so I don’t really know what is going on, it’s horrible to see her poorly and I feel so helpless but have been giving lots of cuddles on demand.

Number’s have been something we’re focusing on at home and recognising numbers when you put them together – she’s really getting good at it now.maisy 4 years 7 months

Bella (3 years 6 months)

Bella has been particularly loving a bit of role play at home this month which involves her being mum or teacher and bossing everyone about a little bit – she’s in her element. I often hear her saying “yeah wait a sec babe I’ve lost my car keys” no idea where she gets that from..

I don’t know if I have mentioned Bella’s sleep habits much on my blog before but basically she’s a pain in the butt every night she gets in bed with me and half the time I don’t even notice she’s there – I don’t mind that much but it is one of those things that I could do without. July she has been better though she goes to sleep alot quicker in her own bed and has been getting up less frequently in the night so we are on the right track.

The girls were very lucky and their Grandad bought them a trampoline recently Bella has more or less spent the month outside bouncing on that.

Rosie (kitten) was neutered a few weeks ago so was feeling a little fragile, Florence Nightingale was on hand to tell everyone to be careful of Rosie because she ‘has a little cut and some shave’  and returned her to bed if she dared be out of it for more than a few minutes. After 10 days poor Rosie was desperate to get back outside and have a bit of a rest from her nurse.bella 3 years 6 months

Lottie (17 months)

Well Lottie has turned into a little monster this last month – what happened to my little quiet girl. She’s a fully fledged toddler and is full of attitude she knows what she wants and is not afraid to throw a tantrum to get it but she’s still getting away with it with that cheeky little grin.

We have a new tooth woo at 17 months Lottie now has a total of 5 – the other two had a mouth full of teeth at this age but Lottie’s have been a real night mare each one giving her a lot of grief but we are getting there.

She has also hit the fussy stage with her food – joy.

She’s back to two naps a day for a while it seemed she only needed one but she’d just getting so exhausted early evening we’ve gone back to two but the second can only be a hour max or she will not sleep at night.

We have a new favourite little saying “Ooo’s at?” (who’s that) at just about everyone and anyone who she see’s at the minute. Also I swear she handed me the remote the other day and said Peppa Pig – I nearly fell off my chair.

What lovely photos! It is always amazing to see how quickly children develop isn’t it? Such a lovely feeling too. I hope Maisy settles in to reception well – I am sure it will be harder for you!

Aww your girls are so lovely. Seeing people with more than one makes me so broody although I’m sure parents of more than one will say ‘don’t do it!’

Your 17 month old sounds very similar to my daughter. We’re suddenly having tantrums, fussy eating and lots of chatting. She’s also only got a few teeth (6) and you know for a good month that another one individual tooth is on the way.

I bet September is going to be full of sobs! I can’t imagine my daughter going to school. xx
