What do you do on a Sunday afternoon when the roast is done and the kids are getting a little restless?
Little walk? Trip to the park maybe? Snuggle up on the sofa with a film? All great ideas but this Sunday we decided to have a bit of a messy afternoon and got busy with some crafts thats had been sent to us by the lovely guys at baker ross!
We started off with some Soft Dough (very similar to play doh) in the garden it was sunny and it saves my floor so it made sense to get them out in the garden with it we have a big tuff spot so the girls played with it on there – I have too say this stuff smells so nice doesnt have that horrid playdoghy scent and it is super soft the kids had so much fun with this.
The neon colours were so bright – great for children and I love that even though they have been playing with it lots and mixing it up the colours have stayed separate so now we have a rainbow type dough to play with which is so much better than the usual brown or green you end up with when all the colours mix together!
We were using some great letter cutters with the soft dough as well as the cutters and shapes they already have.
Next up we had some stamping fun with there giant washable paint and inking pad and some really cool dinosaur stamps! Bella was so excited – paint and dinosaurs are like her two most favourite things in the world so she was in her element with this activity.
I think the paint pad is a really great idea as its washable to can be used over and over again, also with the lid on the paint doesn’t dry out so you don’t waste it.
Lastly we had some foam snap on bracelets and rainbow stickers so thought we would make some bracelets this is a more Maisy type activity she made them for all her friends – I loved the bright colours.
We had a great afternoon of fun thanks to Baker Ross and will definitely be placing another order soon. They have a huge selection for children of all ages giving everyone some crafting ideas.
