Lottie 11 month update

Lottie 11 month update
Yesterday Lottie turned 11 months!
Thats right in only one short month we will be celebrating her first birthday, and I am yet to formally a range anything! Such an unorganised mummy, but I think were going to have a little party at home with close friends and family and then maybe do a nice day out just the five of us.

My last Lottie update was at 9 months so whats new..

So we’ve had christmas in the mean time – Lottie’s first christmas! Of corse she had no idea at all what was going on but enjoyed all the excitement regardless and obviously playing with all the paper and empty boxes as babies tend to do! She showed her new toys a little attention too.

Lottie Christmas Day.

Well the big update is Lottie is at long last sleeping through the night and not only that but she’s sleeping in her own bed! I really thought I would have a big struggle moving on from co-sleeping its all she’s ever known but it was actually incredibly easy (sorry for any mums struggling out there) I think we were both just ready and it seemed to work. I wrote about how I moved her from my bed to her cot here if you want to take a look.

She’s getting a lot more vocal now she’s been babbling for months mama dada baba ect but its as though she now knows what they mean so she see’s me and will say mama which just completely melts my heart. She also know exactly what she wants and shakes her head if she doesn’t; this seems to be about going for a nap at the moment, which already seem to be getting shorter and shorter – surely its too early to be dropping down to just the one nap a day??

She’s a real water baby and loves being in the bath especially with her sisters as you can imagine all three of them in together is mayhem but they all have so much fun splashing about even if the bathroom is soaked by the end of it!

Lottie is now trying so hard to walk – she is on her feet all the time sanding quite steady for a few minutes, a few times she has forgotten she can’t walk and just sort of lunges her self towards me thank god I’ve quickly caught her or we would of had a few bumps. I think it will just be a matter of her finding her confidence and practicing lots but it won’t be long and then god help me with her toddling about everywhere as well.

Cowgirl Lottie
Lastly I thought I’d update you on her eating I have really struggled with weaning Lottie and getting her on to 3 meals a day. She never seemed interested in breakfast or lunch it would all end up on the floor or in her lap and dinner was bit hit and miss too! But in the last month or she has come on massively and now eats just about everything I put in front of her which is brilliant and I’m so relieved although she was putting on weight and the health visitors were happy with her progress as a parent I couldn’t help but worry about it. We went down a mixture of the baby led and traditional weaning route which in the end have worked out really well for us she’ll happily munch away on finger food but is quite happy for us to feed her the more messier dinners! You can see my weaning survival guide here.

Thats all for this update, 30 days from now I will have a 1 year old and my baby days will be over ahhh!

Hehee, what cheeky pictures, she’s got a great little grin. Don’t all kids prefer the boxes and wrapping to the toys themselves around Christmas? Looks like you’ve hit a good couple of milestones with sleep, walking and eating in the last couple of months. Popping over from Magic Moments.

She is adorable and her Christmas dress is so beautiful! Congratulations on her milestones! Eating everything is a huge thing, and something that can be quite a struggle (including my daughter) to some, so it’s good she’s overcome the feat. Thank you for sharing!
