A few weeks ago I was contacted by fellow mummy blogger Claire from The Witt Family to see if I fancied a trip down to Rock Reef to try out there brilliant indoor activity centre. Rock reef offers different activities to suit all sorts; indoor clip and climb walls, the pier cave (indoor caving), the indoor aerial obstacle course and the pier zip – an amazing pier to shore zip wire! There is also a cafe to grab some snacks. Little ones from the ages of 5 can enjoy the clip and climb there is a minimum weight requirement though.

If I’m perfectly honest this type of thing is completely out of my comfort zone, I am not one of these adrenaline junkies who love big roller coasters the tea cups are plenty for me but as I’m trying to be more adventurous and try some new things I went for it!

When I arrived we meet with Claire and two other bloggers Lucy from Lucy does and Emma from The style box, the centre looks amazing all the walls are different styles and themes to climb not just a standard climbing wall its like a big playground for adults! After a run through of health and safety and a demo on how to clip and unclip safely we were unleashed on the walls, I was very nervous to begin with letting go to come back down feels so unnatural but it was good fun once I got into the swing of it.

There is also the leap of faith which is as it sounds – a leap off of a platform from very high up, I wimped out of this one but did enjoy watching the others have a try ha!
I did have a go on the vertical drop slide, which involves a very attractive looking boiler type suit and holding a handle that drags you up until you drop, and the arial obstacle course both great fun!
Next we took a head first dive (literally) into the caves navigating our way through the tiny tunnels in the dark was such a laugh.

Big thank you to the guys at Rock Reef for having us we had such a fun evening – you can find them down on Bournemouth pier, I would definitely recommend going and checking them out.
Wow – this looks like great fun! I’m a bit like you and shy away from rollercoasters and anything that looks remotely high or fast – so good on you for having a go!
This looks like soooooooo much fun! Lovely photos too – good for you getting involved. PS I love your blog design 🙂
We took the children in the summer to review and I must admit I was very jealous! I must go have a go myself!
Looks like you had lots of fun! I really want to go!
We loves it there. Harley did the clip and climb, he wanted to do the vertical drop but the instructors wouldn’t let him as he is only 4!! He’s fearless! It’s a great place with a great view xx
