Feeling outnumbered?

Feeling outnumbered?
If you’ve read my blog before you will probably be well aware I have three little girls whom I absolutely adore, but ever since my first daughter was born in 2010 people have constantly asked if we would like to have a boy? And with each subsequent pregnancy and the birth of two more little girls the question has been more frequent.

Will you try again for a boy?
Ryan’s made no secret along the way that he would of liked to have a son, a boy to take to football or boxing, where he can have the input in what they wear or how their hair is styled. In reality though we have ended up with three little princesses whom of course he loves to death but on occasion he is feeling very outnumbered in a female dominated household.
Soccer saturday is replaced by tea parties in the lounge with unicorns, being fed plastic cakes and pots after pots of tea!
Match of the day on lazy sunday mornings is now Peppa Pig at 6am.

Nowadays he will be found singing along to the frozen soundtrack wearing tiaras (he knows the words better than I do!) or being forced by his girls to have his nails painted
-blue though of course he is a boy.

Just read this after having been in the car with the Frozen soundtrack playing and Freyja telling everyone which part they had to sing:
Freyja – “I’m being Anna, Daddy be Sven”
Rich – “I want to be Elsa”
I love Dads who embrace the girliness x

this made me smile. When I was pregnant with my second EVERYONE assumed we wanted a girl as we already had a boy. I wanted a healthy pregnancy and baby! three of the same gender is magical xx

I’ve just written a similar post about being a mum to 3 boys! Its a shame people presume we’re not complete without a mixed gender brood. Thanks for sharing from the girlie perspective #sundaystars

I actually dread people asking me if I want a boy when we decide to have another baby. I would love to have 3 girls but I really couldn’t care either way. As others have said – healthy and happy baby is all we want. 🙂

They are just so gorgeous – I don’t know how anyone would want to change anything!
My husband admitted after Lucy was born that he was ‘glad’ that we had had a little girl and that he was hoping for a daughter… bit softies are heart!
Great post – hope his nails are nice and shiny xx

I think we will always face questions no matter what we have, I have one of each and people just say, ok, you’re done then!! Actually I am, but I think if I had had a second boy I would have stopped there too. My son loves princess dresses, always has 🙂 thanks for linking up with #sundaystars

You have 3 beautiful girls there 🙂
We had 3 girls first and all we ever got asked, right from when the twins were a few days old, was whether we were having another so Lee could ‘have his boy’ (he actually wasn’t bothered either way). We have since had 2 boys and people now wonder if we are going to even out the numbers!!! I expect we would have had 5 children regardless of what order they had been born in.
Oh, and we will NOT be evening out any numbers!

Great post! I have two daughters too, so get the same question. The thing is I know that the odds are we’d end up with another little girl. My husband loves his life in pink glitter but I know deep down he’d like a little boy to even things up in the house.

This is brilliant. I love the fact that he know the words to the Frozen soundtrack better than you do. I also like the fact that his nails get painted blue. Hugs Mrs H xxxxx
