Life is super hectic at the moment; with four children, a full time job, freelance work and lets not even start on the kids social calendars and clubs (which are far more exciting than my own social calendar)! With all that in mind I have to run a pretty tight ship at home sticking to routine and times to make sure I stay on track and everyone is where they need to be when they need to be. So it’s always great for me to find little activities that the girls can do when I am catching up on washing or need to jump on a quick work call.
building sets are always a winner and we recently received the Kid K’nex Safari Mates construction kit and Lottie and Elsie wasted no time getting stuck in and building some awesome creations.
I loved how the pieces were nice and chunky so Elsie could get involved. She’s not too great at following instructions so Lottie took the reigns on ‘project managing’ shall we say! And Elsie got stuck in putting the bits together. They made a lion, a snake and even a chicken (I think).
The 21 piece set actually had so many different options that you can create following the super simple instructions – of course you can also just make it up as you go along, making what ever their little imaginations like!
