Although summer is my favourite season, autumn comes in as a close second and is definitely my favourite in terms of colour’s and styling.
I love the warmth of autumn, seeing those earthy tones all around, being able to layer up, lighting candles in the evening’s and getting cosy under piles of huge blankets.
My bedroom has recently undergone a little bit of a make over – at long last. On the walls we went for a pale pink that has a nice grey under tone to it. I love this shade; I am someone who usually steers away from colour on the walls, opting to keep things neutral. I think this shade is the perfect way to add some colour to the walls without it being too bold.
With a little help from Wayfair I finished the room off with blush pink tones, greys and little pops of gold. I really wanted to create a space I could relax. A place that was free from the children’s endless toys and games, where I can unwind and relax and I think I have done just that.
I absolutely love how it looks right now; this grey cable knit super chunky throw is my favourite item of all it makes my little space so thick and cosy, the girls are always stealing it from my bed in the morning’s.
Scatter cushions; love them or hate them they do make any room look instantly more put together. I adore the blush satin finish cushion it really adds the subtle autumnal warmth I was after and site so nicely with the paler cushion covers.
There are a few little more pieces I want to add to the room; some prints and some more accessories but I am waiting to spot the perfect items. As I write this I am cosy in my room with a cuppa in hand and I couldn’t be any more pleased with how it has all come together.
