I was woken this morning to sun streaming through the curtains, at last after a lot of grey weather recently it was a welcome surprise even if it was 6 am! (Note to self – buy some blackout blinds)
We took full advantage and I headed to the beach with Maisy and Bella so the girls could have a good run around and enjoy some fresh air.
It was of corse lovely on Sandbanks beach as it is on even the grimmest of days but with the sun shining its especially stunning! The wind was a little chilly at times but the girls were so busy running around collecting shells they didn’t even notice.
Maisy’s funky head gear was of corse her choice – we all know she’s the princess of pink!
I loved watching my girls explore the beach filling their buckets with lots of shells and rocks they’re so independent nowadays last year it would of been “mummy you take us” but now they’re just off doing their own thing.
It is always the unplanned days like these that turn out to be the most fun!
Beautiful photos of childhood happiness, nature really delivers her best with beaches. Hours of fun for all ages. I’d love you to share with me on Country Kids, this is perfect.

We so lucky to live near to the beach too, it’s lovely to get out there even on chilly days. The beach is great for giving the children freedom. It looks like a gorgeous morning. I bet Maisy has her own fashion blog by the time she is 10 ha! X
What great photos!
We took Boo to the beach for the first time and it was amazing, (even though we had to wear coats and wellies!)
The beach is such a great place I wish we lived closer
