December Favourites

I’ve been doing my monthly favourites some what on and off for the last few months this year I am going to continue with my monthly favourites but add in some blogging favourites as well, which will include some of my favourite bloggers and posts each month! And my favourite picture of the month!

So on with Decembers favourites you can see Novembers here

  • This month I’ve been using new mascara the scandaleyes retro glam from rimmel. It always takes me a while to like a new mascara I never like them at first I think they’re a bit too wet? (Does that makes any sense) But after a good couple of weeks of using they seem a lot easier to put on – is it just me? Probably, but I like this one a lot gives me lots of volume, doesn’t smudge throughout the day yet comes off easily before bed!

  • Another beauty favourite is the Aveeno Moisturising lotion and oil that I was kindly sent to review recently, I will be doing a full review on the products shortly but the lotion I have been using daily and has been great for my eczema prone skin recently. The kids who are also prone to dry sensitive skin particularly at this time of year have also been using the oil in their bath and I have seen a definite improvement! As I said my full review will be up in the next few days so do keep an eye open for that!

Thats it for my beauty favourites this month, now on to the blogging.
December with Christmas ect has seen everything go rather quiet towards the end of the month I do have a few favourites from the month though!

  • First was taking part in the not so secret santa with a bunch of lovely bloggers I met last year, was so much fun putting together and sending a little gift and of course receiving my own from Steph and diary of a midlife mummy.

  • My favourite post to write was also my most popular and that was my 5 things my children have taught me written to mark my 4 years of sleep deprivation becoming a parent and what my lovely little munchkins have taught me in that time! I loved writing it I guess it makes it all better to have a little laugh at it and I had great response and feed back from it!
Favourite Blogs of December

My three favourite blogs of the month were Kate from Pouting In Heels every time I read her posts I feel so motivated – just brilliant if you haven’t read her blog you need too!

Jenna from tiny footsteps I love honest writing a gorgeous family pictures! Also with her permission I’ve been joining her with Friday phone dumps each week, which I thought was a great idea!

And finally Kat from Beau twins had me cracking up with her activities for parents with toddlers so funny and so true!

Picture of the month

Has to be our family picture from christmas day we never seem to get a nice picture of us all together let alone one that is nice enough to share with people we are all actually looking at the camera and pulling acceptable faces! I love it.

This is such a fab idea, having your monthly favourites in one post! Great tips for other folks too. I’ve heard of Aveeno, apparently it’s very good, but I don’t think I’ve tried it myself. Might do once my cosmetics stash diminishes a bit…

Really cute picture of all of you by the way, I find it so hard to get good family pictures of us (and there is only three of us!), but will make more of an effort this year.

Hope you had a lovely Christmas and thanks for linking with My Monthly Roundup, hope to see you next month too πŸ™‚

I know exactly what you mean about wet mascara! I find that too, I think it must just need a bit of air to get inside the tube for it to get to a normal consistency or something! x

This is a brilliant round up. I haven’t tried the Rimmel mascara but I might give it a go now. I love the Aveeno oil – it smells lovely! And I totally agree with all those blog recommendations. In fact, they are all on my favourite blogs list (as are you, my lovely)! Thanks for linking up to #SundaysStars. Hugs Mrs H xxxx
