Goodbye January

Potentially the longest January to date has now come to an end! People go one of two ways in January; they either embrace it, love it, go for dry Jan, throw themselves into resolutions or they do January blues. The short, cold, dark days get the best of them and they can’t wait for January to end. I am a mix of the two, this January for me has been good. The girls and I have had some fun days out, we’ve embraced that cold weather. I have pretty much lived in a wooly hat and been fighting a quite nasty…

Wintery Beach Walks

Once again I find myself miserable with a cold. I hadn’t’ been able to shake the last one from back in December, so to find myself feeling crappy again really isn’t the best. Being ill with children means you don’t really have the time to be ill at all. You dose up, you suck it up and you carry on with your day. Thursday’s are always Mummy and Lottie day’s. She has no nursery, I don’t work that day at all if can be helped, so we head off to do something fun together. Cold or no cold it was…

Stomping through the woods in new wellies

Thursdays are a day I take off each week, Lottie is off nursery and we have no prior commitments to groups so it is our special Mummy and Lottie day. Life is so hectic with work, school runs and feeling like everyday I’m running here there and everywhere it is so nice to have one day that I spend quality time with my youngest girl. Last Thursday we did some shopping, Lottie’s wellies were completely destroyed so we set out on a mission to find some new ones, after a quick pop into next and a stop for lunch we had the…

Getting #WheelieCreative With George At ASDA

I was recently invited by George at ASDA to take part in their #WheelieCreative bike campaign which involves us coming up with a theme for one their children’s bikes and getting a little creative. Now father christmas kindly bought my big girls bikes christmas just gone so I thought it would be fun to choose a little balance bike for Lottie so she can zoom up and down with her sister’s. I went for the WeeRide Slyde balance bike in pink, it caught my eye as it just looks so cool and different to other balance bikes I have seen. Lottie is…

Outdoor Winter Adventures

Anyone who knows me well enough will know I don’t do the coldness. I used to spend my pre-children winter’s eating bad foods and drinking hot drinks dreaming about spring and summer coming back. This is to a certain extent how I do still spend my winter’s but as you all know with three small children day after day stuck in is not a great deal of fun. There is also only so much soft play one can take and if you’re feeling the pinch from christmas still, it can be an expensive couple of hours! With the January blues in…

Christmas 2015

I have been pretty quiet on the blogging and social media front this last couple of weeks and with good reason. Since I started writing Everything Mummy about 18 months ago I haven’t really taken a break, every day I have done something every single day and while I love it the past year has been pretty full on. With christmas I thought it would be the perfect time to have a little breather, spend some quality time with friends, family and most importantly my three little princesses. Whilst I am still in holiday mode I thought I’d just post…

Pumpkin picking

On Monday the girls and I headed off to Sopley Farm in Christchurch for bit of pumpkin picking. This is the first time I have ever been to a pumpkin patch I didn’t even realise there was one in Dorset until I started seeing some photos pop up on friends Instagram’s. We’re not overly big on halloween but we always do a pumpkin or two so this added to the fun of it, actually going out and picking our own pumpkin made it so much more exciting for the kids. They all got stuck straight in finding the best pumpkins,…
