A Day Out With Thomas

As you guys know the girls and I love getting out and about, trying new things and seeing new places. A few weeks ago we were very kindly invited to go for a day out with Thomas on the Watercress line. For a few weeks of the year Thomas and Friends take over the Watercress line and the whole station transforms into an amazing family day out. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this day out but when we arrived I was so impressed to see all they had going on, the whole station was involved and the kids…

How Throw A Princess Tea Party

Being a mini sized princess can be hard work; you have to look the part, dance around the lounge doing ‘ballet’ and even be nice to your sister’s – well that’s what my daughters think anyway. As you can imagine the princess game face lasts about 5 minutes when your sister jumps in front of you busting out your best ballet moves, it’s hard to be nice apparently. Regardless of this my daughters all love playing princess dress up so much so that we recently invited our friends over for a princess themed afternoon tea with all the essentials that…

Goodbye February

With January feeling like the longest month of the whole year and February passing by in the blink of an eye I find myself  taping  away todayin shock that it is now the 1st of March! February as ever has been a busy one; last month I mentioned a nasty chest infection – well it turned out to be pneumonia. Not the best start to my February but at least I got the meds I needed and started to feel better with in days. The girls and I had a lovely well needed half term break, we caught up with…

Lottie Turns 3!

Saturday saw my littlest girl Lottie turn 3 years old! It’s quite crazy to think that this time three years ago I was at home cooing over my newborn with two toddlers and now I two children at school and my ‘baby’ is officially a toddler. A lot has changed in three years but we are all happy as ever. Lottie’s birthday celebrations started a lot earlier than I had hoped, she was awake at 1am telling me she was the birthday girl, jumping on me and asking if we could go down stairs yet. Excited is an understatement. Thankfully she…

Goodbye January

Potentially the longest January to date has now come to an end! People go one of two ways in January; they either embrace it, love it, go for dry Jan, throw themselves into resolutions or they do January blues. The short, cold, dark days get the best of them and they can’t wait for January to end. I am a mix of the two, this January for me has been good. The girls and I have had some fun days out, we’ve embraced that cold weather. I have pretty much lived in a wooly hat and been fighting a quite nasty…

Wintery Beach Walks

Once again I find myself miserable with a cold. I hadn’t’ been able to shake the last one from back in December, so to find myself feeling crappy again really isn’t the best. Being ill with children means you don’t really have the time to be ill at all. You dose up, you suck it up and you carry on with your day. Thursday’s are always Mummy and Lottie day’s. She has no nursery, I don’t work that day at all if can be helped, so we head off to do something fun together. Cold or no cold it was…

National Trust Adventures – Hinton Ampner

I officially became a national trust member a few weeks ago; something I never thought I would be. This year the girls and I have found ourselves out and about enjoying  walking, exploring and picnics a hell of a lot more it just made sense to get a national trust membership. There are so many great places nearby to us which we were going to and paying for regularly, having the membership just gives us the freedom to pop to the ones locally when ever we fancy but it’s also made me think about setting our sights a little further…
