Oh how I do love to pick pumpkins with my little pumpkins!

I am not even that ‘big’ on Halloween but the girls love it and I adore the autumnal colours and a pumpkin spiced latte, so over the years this has become one of my most favourite family traditions.
This year we headed to a new patch, the picking patch! The packing patch is based in Fordingbridge and not only do they have a patch with a great selection of pumpkins to pick they also have a spooky Maze this year, so we went to check it out.

The Maze was great; we all loved getting a little bit lost and finding the surprises along the way, it was so much fun! And it made it feel like more of a day out too so was fab. They’d put so much effort in to all the spooky spots hidden in the maze full of surprises and spooky music. It was the perfect way to get us in the halloween mood.

The Maze is £6.50 per person and takes about 45 mins to complete, although it took us a little longer with little legs and we managed to get lost – ALOT. You can prebook or pay on the day and there are also twilight maze visits available for that extra spooky vibe.

After the Maze it was time to get out pumpkins! The picking patch has two patches so plenty of pumpkins for all! one of them is set up with little photo spots and even a swing set in the middle so is perfect for little ones to have some fun in as well.
Of corse Elsie put herself in charge of deciding which pumpkins made the cut and looking after the wheel barrow! She was in her element here.

One thing I thought was a really nice touch at the picking patch, was their pumpkins measuring boxes. It means there’s no surprises when you came to leave as you know exactly what your pumpkins cost!

That’s us all sorted for this years pumpkins – if you haven’t been yet and you’re local make sure you check out The Picking Patch!
