Completely missed out an April edition of what’s going on with the girls didn’t I! Everything has just been so busy here one month blended in to two but here I am now – with a little updated.
So we have had some pretty big changes in the home recently. The girls have had a game of musical bedrooms and now Bella and Lottie are sharing a room, while Maisy has her own space. It was something I had been considering for a little while – for a number of reasons.
Main one being Maisy is such an early riser. She has been for as long as I can remember, I wrote a post about it way back when I first started Everything Mummy and 2 years on I can report nothing has changed! It’s not an issue with her being an early bird it’s more of the fact she’s a noisy early bird (definitely a rooster in a previous lifetime). She’s happy to play with her toys for a little while by herself but she just forgets that not everyone else wants to be awake at 5:30 and as you can imagine Barbie having a disco isn’t exactly a quiet affair.
I spoke to her about it before hand as I didn’t want to make a decision and for her to think it’s because she’s been naughty or something. To my surprise she was ecstatic to be getting her own bedroom, she immediately started to move in some toys, decorate the floor with confetti and put a sign on the door stating no-one was allowed in ‘Maisy’s Room’ – power gone to the head slightly.
So with Maisy chuffed to bits I told Bella and Lottie they would now be sharing; of corse the pair of mischief makers didn’t mind. As I saw those cheeky grins appear I knew it would be a long couple of nights as they adjusted. Mum’s instincts are ofter correct aren’t they, first night they swapped pyjamas and hid a midnight feast under their pillows. I returned them each to bed countless times and all I could hear was giggling. First night excitement was all too much, it’s been a couple weeks now and they have settled down – thankfully!
Over the summer I will be redecorating both rooms to make them just right for the girls, of corse I will be sharing those transformations as and when.
Ah bless them! I think the time has almost come for the boys to share – Benjamin is almost 7 months old now and it’s getting fairly cramped in our room. I bet the girls were really excited to swap around! x
Aww I’m glad Maisy was so happy to have her own room. Sounds like it’s worked out for the best. Look forward to seeing the transformations soon.
Awww bless! Look forward to seeing what you do with their rooms. I can’t believe it’s been 2 or 2.5 years since we were sat on a table on the Princess Cruise ship eating our 3 course! Hope you are well.

I know so long ago now! They need to do another Royal Luncheon make it an annual thing! xx
I remember when we moved the boys into a room together – they were so excited and still share now.
I am sure that they are so happy to be sharing a room I can’t wait to see what you are going to with the room because of the fact that decorating a room and seeing the transformation is amazing.
