Today I am sharing a guest post from Greater Yarmouth Tourism, they are currently running a great competition to win a 7 night holiday for up to 8 people in Great Yarmouth with lots of attraction passes and want to spread the word so have asked me to share some information about one of the lovely attractions which will be included in the competition.
Set in over an acre of landscaped gardens with streams and a lake full of Koi Carp, Merrivale Model Village can be found in the middle of Great Yarmouth’s Golden Mile.
The attention to detail on the models is quite amazing, the facial expressions would have the children giggling for hours.
After a stroll around the village, why not have a competitive game of Crazy Golf (included in admission charge). Not forgetting stepping back in time for a trip to the Old Penny arcade, where you can try your luck at the one armed bandits or chuckle at The Laughing Sailor, with vintage slot machines ranging from the twenties to the sixties, there will be something to amuse everyone.
Throughout the summer the Village stays open later and the light switch on certainly brings a new dimension to this unique attraction.Wheelchairs and single pushchairs can be easily pushed around the entire village.
Merrivale Model Village boasts approximately 350 metres of 45mm G gauge track running throughout the garden. There are 28 different types and styles of locomotive, tram, novelty vehicle and associated rolling stock with carriages, ensuring a wonderful range of train-spotting opportunities for visitors who never know which section might be running from one day to the next.
And finally finishing of the visit with a trip to the Tea Rooms and the Souvenir Shop.
If you think this would be a great place to visit, then look no further, there is an amazing competition running to win a 7 night holiday for up to 8 people in Great Yarmouth with lots of attraction passes, including this one.
