Cooking With Marley Spoon

This week I have been cooking up a storm (if I do say so myself) with a little help from Marley Spoon, I love cooking fresh healthy foods and finding new recipes so this flexible recipe box subscription service is right up my street. With seven new recipes to choose from each week Marley spoon will deliver the exact quantities of ingredients required to make home cooking a breeze.

So the two dishes I choose to test out were the Beef conchiglioni with creamed vegetables and Levantine fattoush with cinnamon lamb. They arrived in a chilled box so all the meat was kept fresh, I was very excited to dive in – true to their word every ingredient was included and all measured out to the exact quantities bar a couple of optional seasonings sugar, salt and pepper.

The recipes came on big easy to follow cards with step by step instructions and pictures, I also really liked that they have a cooking helpline open 5-8pm wed – sat so should you get stuck you can get in touch with any questions.

First up I made the Beef conchiglioni with creamed vegetables;

I’ve never cooked this before it took roughly 40 minutes to prep and cook and it was so delicious the different flavours in the dish worked so well together, the portion sizes were very generous.

Next up I made the Levantine fattoush with cinnamon lamb;

The kids got involved with this one and helped me make the salad dressing..

I love getting them involved in the kitchen even if it is just the dressing, they’re much more likely to try new foods and flavours when they’re helping and having fun with it.

Look at those colours, this was definitely my favourite of the two dishes and I’m not a huge lamb fan but the flavours were just amazing together it was so easy to make, again the portion sizes were very big I had enough salad for lunch as well – I’m not complaining was lovely!

On the whole I was very pleased with Marley Spoon great service and they have a great selection of new recipes each week. Would I buy it again, I think I would on a special occasion or for a treat from £5.50 per meal it makes for a cheaper alternative to going out for dinner but you still get those same great quality dishes and you can’t sit in a restaurant in your pj’s can you!

Marley Spoon have been kind enough to give me a code for my lovely readers to get a whopping £25 off your order, so just enter EverythingMummy at the checkout.

    your beef dish looked fab too. Can’t believe we both ended up eating the lamb one the same night. I had a less good experience with the sea bream one I had but thought all the recipe cards were very good.
