Today my girls taught me a lesson, they don’t need fancy toys or extravagant days out all they want is my time an attention I already know this but often loose sight of this and am too busy trying to keep our diary jam packed.
This was the first day in what feels like forever that I’ve had nothing planned an no where to be so I asked the kids what do you want to play ‘camping’ we usually just make little sleeping bags up on the floor when we play this but today we went one step further and made a whole den in the dining room (under the table)
We spent hours this afternoon reading stories and spending time together in our den it was lovely just spending some one on one or in my case one on three time with no distractions, no phone, no tv.
Lottie loved it too even though at every chance she was trying to pull everything down.
How sweet, it’s lovely when moments like this happen and you can really sit back and enjoy the little things! Popping in from Magic Moments.
O wow this is fantastic! We haven’t build a den in ages-you’ve inspired me to do one asap! Lovely post and photos x #magicmoments
We <3 den building, children are so fascinated by toys and technology it really is fab to take them back to basics and you cant beat a bit of a good den! #MagicMoments
I am a great believer is not having a completely full diary of activities and I bet this is something the kids will remember for a very long time!
Love this post – your girls look like they really enjoyed it. I particularly like the fairy lights- so cute!
U have inspired me to go out and make a den with my 3 girls. X
