A Day In The Life

A Day In The Life

A day in the life of a 2 year old.. told by a 2 year old.

5:30am I’m awake, I’m in mums bed after getting in at 2am and refusing to move again (dads given up and gone to sleep in my bed). Seen as its daylight and I’m awake I feel now is the time everyone else should be.
Mums ignoring me-best go wake Maisy to help with this one.
Maisys awake together we make enough noise to disturb Lottie. Yes 3 against one now mum will have no chance.
Ha we’re up! Mums sat having a coffee, she looks to comfortable best suggest a game of hide and seek.

7:00am and I’m feeling hungry. Cornflakes, no cheerios, no actually bring me the cornflakes. Cornflakes are here big problem, orange spoon-does mum not know I wanted the Minnie mouse spoon must shout loudly until this is corrected.

8:00am Time to get ready mums trying to help me does she not realise I’m 2 and no longer require assistance to get dressed….damn shorts are on backward how did that happen must roll around helplessly on the floor until mum helps me.

9:30 going to playgroup-
Mum “Do you want to go in the push chair?”
Me “No I want to walk”
Mum “Ok but you have to walk all the way I’m not going to carry you!”

(10 mins later) tiered legs so mums carrying me.

12:00 so playgroups over, was fun did some painting refused an apron and thought the paint would be better on my hands than paper, gave mum a hug she wasn’t pleased with the hand prints on her jeans.

2:00pm off to the park, I love the park especially the swings I do NOT like having to get off a swing. Damn someone’s in the swing. Can’t let mum forget I want a swing so repeatedly remind her and walk dangerously close to the swings until its my turn.

4:00pm Home from the park, mum wants to cook tea, perfect opportunity to help by getting various items out of the cupboards and fridge, orange juice?? No?

5:00pm Dads home jump on him for abit and then dinner is served going to go through pick out any noticeable veg and put it on the table. Then going to eat with my hands and land half of it in my lap, who needs a fork they just slow me down.

6:00pm Bath time think I’ll pour the bubbles in today – well how was I to know it was actually mums fancy shampoo. Playing who can make the biggest spashes with Maisy, she won, mums not amused.

7:00pm Time for bed, after a story – I’m not tiered.

7:02pm Need the loo.

7:07pm Need a drink.

7:10pm My blankets fallen off my bed.

7:15pm Despite mum telling me otherwise I think this is the perfect time of day to sing nursery rhymes – loud.

7:30pm think I’ll sleep now – I’m planning for an early start.

Hahaha! Brilliant! Yep, I remember those days all too well (which is why I only have one child – how you manage not to go insane with 3 of them is a mystery to me and very impressive) 😀
