36 hours in London with Three Children

The 6 week holidays is a long time for us parents to entertain the kids. I find it easiest to plan ahead and break it up with a few trips or bigger(er) days out here and there and then add in the play dates, park days & beach trips. Before you know it your schedule is pretty full and the kids are happy! So that is one of the reasons I booked in a couple of days away for the kids and I in London. It was our little girls trip and we had so much fun! Hotels in London aren’t…

National Trust Adventures – Brownsea Island

We’ve been off on more fun National Trust Adventures! This time we jumped on a boat and visited Brownsea Island for the day. Brownsea Island is just a short ferry ride from either Poole Quay or Sandbanks but that simple 10 minute boat ride is enough to make it the best day ever for children. We headed over on a gorgeous sunny August day to discover all the island had to offer. As someone who has lived  in the Poole area my whole life it’s shocking that this was only the second time I have ever visited. The last being a…

National Trust Adventures – Mottisfont

Our national trust adventures have continued over the summer holidays! Recently we took the girls over to Mottisfont to explore all that it has to offer. Mottisfont National Trust is located in Romsey, it boasts a gorgeous house and gallery set in some of the most beautiful riverside gardens I have ever seen. We have visited Mottisfont once before; we loved it but it was only a quick visit. I was desperate to get back at some point during these holidays to really enjoy it. It is just over an hours drive for us so it is one of those…

Camp Bestival Day 3

Finally getting around to writing up our third and final day of Camp Bestival. Day three was by far our busiest day of them all. We woke up to the sun beaming down on us FINALLY so we needed to get out and make the most of it. As you can imagine after all that heavy rain and thousands of people walking over it, the grass had turned into a thick muddy slush. Pushing a push chair through it was not the easiest task. The first thing we did was head to the Dingly Dell woods, I hadn’t managed to get down…

BBC Countryfile Live 2017

BBC Countryfile Live 2017 has been and gone; to think this time last week it was all in full swing is mad – we had such an awesome day and it feels like yonks ago now. Last year the girls and I went up to first ever BBC Countryfile live held at Blenheim Palace. I didn’t know what to expect at all, I’ve heard of the show but it’s not something I necessarily watch. The sheer size of the event and all the activities for us to get stuck into just blew me away – we had the best day! When…
