National Trust Adventures – Hinton Ampner

I officially became a national trust member a few weeks ago; something I never thought I would be. This year the girls and I have found ourselves out and about enjoying  walking, exploring and picnics a hell of a lot more it just made sense to get a national trust membership. There are so many great places nearby to us which we were going to and paying for regularly, having the membership just gives us the freedom to pop to the ones locally when ever we fancy but it’s also made me think about setting our sights a little further…

Longleat Festival Of Lights

The girls and I headed off to visit Longleat last week to experience the Festival of Lights for the first time! I had heard such great things about the event which runs throughout December we couldn’t wait to get down there. We’ve been to Longleat once before, it was when they were in the process of setting it all up since seeing that I have always been intrigued to go back and see it finished. When I received the invitation I was so so excited sod the kids I was going to see a big show in the West End for the first time ever! I know in 24 years that is just utter madness, I have always wanted to go and see a show but it’s just never happened. Children under 3 aren’t…

Tregenna Castle Take 2

It feels like an absolute age ago but was in fact only two weeks back that the girls and I took a trip to our favourite Cornish town St.Ives to enjoy our half term break. You may remember back in the summer we visited St.Ives and all hell broke loose as chicken pox reared it’s ugly head and ruined our little family break. Tregenna Castle came to our rescue and invited us back to do our trip right this time and I am so happy they did! We were staying in one Tregenna’s self catering cottages this time around rather than the…
