When I was on bit for more a tight budget a couple of years back I used to be the queen of meal planning! I knew exactly what we were having each day, exactly which day I would shop and although it sounds a little geeky I felt so much more organised and on top of things. Since the girls dad and I went our separate ways I have steadily got more and more lapsed over what I am spending and how I plan it out. I’ve been working on a blog project recently (will be live soon) to monitor…
One of my biggest goals this summer to get outside more with the girls and make the most of what we have around us. I really want to put our own back garden to use a lot more as well as setting off for days out at the beach, park hunting and picnicking. The garden really hasn’t been much of a useable space since we have lived here; it’s not massive, it’s on different levels and huge tree took up the majority of the space. My man turned lumberjack for the day and got the tree down for me and…
Kingston Lacy is definitely my most local National Trust spot. Being less than a half hour drive we do visit regularly, it’s such a great picnic spot and so beautiful all year round. It went from being a warmish cloudy day to a baking hot day so quickly! What’s nice about Kingston Lacy is there is so much outdoor space but also so many shady spots too. The front lawn is perfect for picnics…
Last Sunday (25th June) was national unplugging day; the annual day designed to get us all to take a step away from the technology and spend some quality time together. We were invited to a fun event in Winchester to celebrate the day; with strictly no…
We’ve all done that typically British thing haven’t we? We’ve longed for the sun to make an appearance for the last 9 months, enjoyed it for a day and since done nothing but moan about it being ‘too hot’. I hold my hands up and admit I have said it! I love the long hot summer days but after a week of sleepless hot, sticky nights I need a break. When your abroad and all you need to do it dip in and our of a pool it is perfect, all the hotels have air con and you can actually…
