And just like that it’s November.
October was a bit of a blink and you miss it month for us. It just seemed to fly by with a mixture of going to work, school for the kids and trying to keep on top of everything. Here’s a little glimpse of some of what we got up to…
Autumn has well and truly set in now, hasn’t it! The temperature has dropped, the clocks have changed and the night sets in so much earlier.
We have pulled out the knit wear, the coats and we are enjoying movie nights with hot chocolate aplenty.
The girls started a 6 weeks hockey club in October, they have had great fun with it. I will be sharing more about it over the next couple of weeks. The venue is roughly an hours drive away so it’s an early start for us on a Sunday morning but it has meant were up and about ready for the day before most.
We’ve made the most of being up and out with some nice family days out. One was to Longdown farm, it was our first visit but what a great day we had! The girls loved being able to get hands on with all the animals, I’m going to write a post about it actually because we were really pleasantly surprised with how much there was to do. Especially seen as we just found it by chance driving passed!
October ended with my little ladies going off on a little holiday to Devon with their dad which is fun for them but sad for me, I hate being away from them for more than a day or two.
However I made the most of my child free time and headed away myself. My best friend and I hopped on a plane to Amsterdam for a couple of days, followed by the Inaugural cruise of the stunning Norwegian Encore from Bremerhaven to Southampton! A much needed few days away from work and away from mum life – we all need to recharge those batteries from time to time. Of corse I will be sharing more on both of these little trips over here soon.
On to November; it’s a strangely quiet month ahead for us. I am mega busy in my day job with Christmas looming. That combined with trying to save the pennies before the madness of all the girls birthdays and Christmas fall into my lap have meant no big plans on the horizon.
I am sure that wont last long though..
