Goodbye April, Hello May

May is officially here! May is probably one of my favourite months of all because, firstly, we get two bank holidays, secondly, the month ends with half term so no school run and lots of extra time with my girlies, thirdly, it’s my birthday woooo – I am going to be ancient so we won’t dwell on that too much.

This May is also super exciting as I am off to Corfu for a little holiday. I am so excited for 5 days of no work, no kids (they’re with their dad before you think we have a home alone situation going on), just cocktails, sunshine and relaxing!
I’ll probably get a few side-eye digs from the perfect mummy brigade on this but I think it’s so important to have a little child free time to relax and recharge. I know not everybody is able too but the girls dad is entitled to time with his children as well so I am making the most of knowing they’ll have a great time with their dad and having a little break myself.

Before jetting off I have a ton of things on though so the next few weeks are going to be a little hectic – makes no change to my usual set up though to be honest!

A look back at April

We had so much fun in April including national trust days out, Easter egg hunts, a long weekend in Wales, a visit to Marwell Zoo and lots, lots more. The weather has really taken a turn for the better and being able to ditch the coats, sit out in the garden and dine alfresco has been the best! I’ve also caught up on all the washing thanks to the sunshine #domesticgoddessgoals.

April saw me reunited with a great love of mine Game Of Thrones.. anyone who doesn’t watch must be sick to death of hearing about it by now so sorry not sorry about that.

My friends and I booked my best friends hen do – IN VEGAS! Whattttttttt. So it’s not until next March but majorly excited about this.

Works been really busy in April, which is always fantastic. I have really fallen back in love with taking photos and writing. Since I started my youtube channel it’s always taken a bit of a back burner while I have focused on developing that but lately I have just loved blogging so much! Hence this post after months of forgetting to do a monthly round up post – it’s back!

Goals for May

Switch off on holiday – that’s right I’m going MIA. Just for a few days, I will share it all when I am back.

Play with my camera more – I bought a new 50mm lens last month, I love it. The photos are gorgeous but I need to play with it a little more and get the settings just right.

Read 2 books – Should be doable as I am going away I’ll probably get through one on the plane alone!

Keep up the exercise – I’ve actually been doing really well and going to the gym regularly, it’s not because I want to loose weight or anything but it just makes me feel so much better, physically and mentally I feel stronger, happier, motivated and focused. So I just want to keep that up and keep enjoying it.

And that’s about it from me I think, May is going to be amazing – BRING IT ON!
