10 Family Days Out In Norfolk

I love to travel with the children, taking them to visit a new town or city is an exciting experience for us all. With it often just being me and them, UK breaks are so much more feasible than going abroad. In the days before children I wouldn’t have really considered the UK as a top holiday destination but since growing my brood I have really had my eyes open and can see really we have everything we need on our door steps (okay maybe a few hours drive) available to us. I’m Not Ready..

I received a letter through the door last week informing me I need to apply for Lottie’s school place for next year. I almost choked when I read it. Although I knew it would come.. I am just not ready.  The thought of my youngest girl going off to school actually breaks my heart. Portsmouth Historic Dockyard – a great family day out

A few weeks ago now the girls and I were invited to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard for a fun family day out. Despite being just an hour away I had never heard of it! Everyone I seem to mention it to since says ‘oh yes we’ve been’ or ‘we’ve thought about going’. So I really must of been living under a rock! As I had no idea what we were expecting we went with a completely open mind and just got stuck straight in with exploring and activities. Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is massive! If like me you are newbie don’t be afraid to go…

I find it easiest to plan ahead and break it up with a few trips or bigger(er) days out here and there and then add in the play dates, park days & beach trips. Before you know it your schedule is pretty full and the kids are happy! So that is one of the reasons I booked in a couple of days away for the kids and I in London. It was our little girls trip and we had so much fun! Hotels in London aren’t…

Our Summer Holiday Highlights

Today my girls have returned to school! The first school run back is always interesting isn’t it. I felt as though I had completely forgotten the protocol and what times they were all meant to be arriving. However we got through it, everyone was on time with matching shoes so that’s a win in my book. That was until I got back to my car and saw a lovely flat tyre waiting for me. REALLY! A flat on the first day of school, as I sat waiting for the RAC to save the day and deliberating what I must have…
